Brehs smarter than me, how worried should I be about the DOE being dismantled, living in NJ? My son is almost 3 and I’ve always had it in my mind that I was going to supplement his school learning with shyt we do at home (something my mom did for my sister and I when we were little that really helped us advance). But it feels like that’s going to be a necessity now. In my head, I feel like NJ schools should be fine since we’re a fairly self sufficient state anyway right?

Basically the state of NJ will fund their own state department of education.. so expect higher property tax rates etc but either why you will be good… NJ has one of the best school systems in the nation

Ok good. I believe they do already. Not sure if this is still the case, but I remember reading years ago that NJ takes the least amount of money federally compared to other states.

My taxes just went up too but I feel so good about my decision to move here in 2022. I was afraid of some bullshyt like this and wanted to insulate myself as much as possiblr

It’s all fine and good to question institutions when you are doing okay. But once the pandemic hit. That mistrust he inspired turned to people drinking bleach which even at someone’s crazy isn’t something you want a leader to say.

yes, for sure. but very narrow win. and what Democrats didn't do or didn't listen to, was the distrust of those institutions outside of COVID. You don't have to gut them, but what they didn't do was let people question them, and this contributing to the breaking reality factor of the last 2 years.
