You added some extra sauce to it with the set back the franchise, but saying a top prospect is just gonna be average to bad is always the smartest take.

All that hype Caleb is getting, is making him seem like he is NFL Starter-ready. He has the ability, and the heart for sure, but he isn't ready to start. Plus if you in a fact that the Bears or Commanders, franchises looking for any spark as a relevant franchise, they will prepare to go all in.

He will need a strong Offensive Line to prevent him from seeing Ghosts, along with a Running Back to help ease him into being a starter.

I hate when people say that. If the cap is a myth, why did Buffalo, New Orleans, and LA have to make cuts? Restructuring deals doesn't mean the cap is fake, it just means you can kick the can down the road IF the players are open to playing ball. If Bosa and Mack said nah we don't want to restructure, they would have been cut before 4PM yesterday.

Man, for real. Especially since restructuring the contract doesn't mean that the owed money magically goes away. Eventually, when the player gets cut, or traded, or whatever, they're going to be stuck with dead money on the books. If anything, this should educate players to stop fukking with these front loaded deals with all the guaranteed money up front that look like eight to 10 figure deals for multiple years that are actually more like single year deals with de facto year to year team options.

I agree that it's fake in a sense that you gotta have big money contracts if you want elite players and as long as you are a "title contender" you can still sign players and do whatever you want. But when it's obvious y'all cooked just trade them or cut them. You'll have no money for like 1 season and start back over. No reason for long term flexibility in the nfl
