Also I'll eat my words on Trump being a good campaigner and marketer. I really thought he had a pulse on a big segment of white America and had them energized to vote and propel his policies. Turns out the segment is energized but small.

I don't get how he has such an expansive footprint on the hotel industry. He has shown to make bad operational and executive decisions during his presidency. I thought is "saving grace" was marketing. Turns out he can't do that well either

Every damn election cycle for the past 6 years there is some panic about Latinos and Black folks swinging towards the GOP....and then the polling shows 9/10 Black and 2/3 Latino steadily support Democrats.

Yet the narrative will continue in two years.
It’s weird but it also has to do with a loud minority of contrarian opinion on the internet

If you don’t actually know any black people you probably think Candace owens, Kanye , killer mike etc actually matter and have influence

We can dead that "Zoomers are more conservative than Millennials" talk now.

Online is not real life. Which I know we all know, but once again, we learned this in numerous ways this election.

Dudes going on 8Chan and hating on the women they can't get =/= representative of Zoomers.
yeah I gotta admit I fell for it.

Tons of message boards YouTube / social media replies all seem to lean heavily right so I thought maybe was indicative of the population until you realize it’s a small percentage of loons who respond to these things

Also I was fooled by seeing how there are a lot more far right grifters like Crowder Shapiro Bonigno Owens etc who have millions of fans where there aren’t many left wing popular ones

I guess for whatever reason the right is over represented on social media and the internet as a whole

The average person is more tired of Republican freaks screaming about wokeness than actual wokeness.

Yep it was hillarious seeing some republicans say they should have leaned harder on culture wars when that’s all they really ran on

Even people who disagree with “woke” stuff or trannies nobody is voting on those issues.

I think republicans take online and social media discourse way too seriously as it being the pulse of the people

Also the crime thing was overblown and luckily most people didn’t fall for the fear tactics

I’m in NYC and while the subway has gotten a little grimier and there are some issues and like anywhere else crime has gone up a little since Covid it’s still MUCH safer then it used to be

The picture they paint nyc in as some war zone is comical

There are cities in Oklahoma with higher crime rates but they won’t tell you that for obvious reasons

Hell even Chicago isn’t in the top 15 in terms of crime/murder rates but you’d think it’s # 1 every year

We learned that leftist were right in fearing an Obama discipline winning would be the end of the Bernie chapter. :Okayjack: :Obeezybaby:

Bernie has probably been one of the biggest supporters of Biden's agenda.

I don't understand why this guy is getting scorn. He also out there campaigning for Dems in 8 different states over the past few weeks.

I don’t know why people thought high inflation meant votes for republicans. They didnt have a message to address inflation
it wasnt about the republicans being good, its just a historical trend :yeshrug: clinton got crushed, obama got crushed, trump got crushed. bush would have, without unprecedented 9/11 momentum. it was a safe bet that gas prices and inflation would AT LEAST keep an established trend going for biden

until we found out that trump is literally THAT bad :laff:

another factor i saw someone breakdown though, i guess gerrymandering is so bad at this point that theres only like 35 competitive seats left in the country. so the days of the House blowout might just be over entirely :yeshrug:

As someone who is originally from the Philly area and still has family there, all the pollsters vastly overrated Republicans running statewide to the point it was comical seeing them predict they had a chance of winning. There was no chance in hell from the time he won the nomination that Mastriano was going to get close to winning the Governor's race (the state Republican party tried to get a couple people to drop out of the primary and endorse someone that wasn't a lunatic). If Fetterman didn't have his stroke a couple days before the primary he would have won by double digits over Oz, who people already saw through his carpetbagging bullshyt from the moment he had to buy a house in Montgomery County so he could be eligible to run.

I get the historical trend

In the past republicans would’ve claimed the infrastructure deal, the climate deal, the Ukraine money and whatever else was the reason for inflation and they would be fiscally conservative

they didn’t even try to push that lie they just went all in on culture wars because that’s what energizes the base
