Abortion, rock star Obama and a coherent engagement and mobilisation policy for young voters should be enough to get democrats across the line in 2024 if the economy stays stable.

Keep abortion in the forefront of white women's minds and the will be less likely to fukk you ober in the election.
Bro, white women voted for Republicans 8 percent more. It’s just that young and single white women turned out crazy on choice or it would be even worse. The biggest problem with Democratic politics is that white women are the least loyal Democrats but have an outsized influence on policy.

Regarding @wire28 Biden comment. I don’t think it’s that people are mostly okay with Joe. He doesn’t have Hillary heat but he’s not beloved by the base like Obama. The thing is, that we are so polarized now that it doesn’t matter what your overall approval rating is as long as your base will go vote for you. Joe didn’t give anyone a reason to not vote in the primaries. And the swing voter shyt is myth - people are mostly on a side. That’s really what it is, turning out people who think like you and not giving them a reason not to. You can see the same with Herschel Walker - if that was a generic white man then Kemp would’ve carried him to victory.

The point is, keep your base enthusiastic and do shyt that they want. If both parties turn out their supporters, democrats will almost always win. Too many pollsters and pundits talk like elections are about fighting over different segments of white people and that’s the case sometimes locally but generally if you frame your issues the way you care about them and don’t get killed in funding and on the airwaves - you should be fine. Also, the media predicting that Democrats would get destroyed probably had the opposite effect -everyone I talked to went to vote afraid of MAGA universal reign. People need to start thinking of politics in a post-2016 world where until Republicans do away with Trump, he is always on the ballot and Trump is a loser. That’s 3 straight elections.

Keep rolling out election denying shyt Maga candidates for the next decade. As long as republicans are married to trump this will be the outcome. He’s a loser and everything he supports turns to shyt.
If anything that I learned from these midterms is that Trump's grip is slowly starting to loosen on the Republican Party and that 2024 will (and should) be Trump's last stand as the figurehead of the GOP.

If it's anything I've learned about these midterms, it's that Republicans need NEW IDEAS that doesn't step on ppls way of life such as abortion rights, social security, student loan debt, voting rights, cutting certain programs, etc., If anything is certain Republicans need to find a way to distance themselves from Trump if they want to continue to be in office b/c more of the same is coming in 2024 and beyond if they don't get Trump-ism out of the GOP.

Republicans always banked on low turnout in midterms which helped them take control in local races… I’ll give trump credit in the fact he made Dems smarten up and start taking local races serious.. or was trump really a dem Trojan horse to destroy the gop all along :wow:
