If anything that I learned from these midterms is that Trump's grip is slowly starting to loosen on the Republican Party and that 2024 will (and should) be Trump's last stand as the figurehead of the GOP.

If it's anything I've learned about these midterms, it's that Republicans need NEW IDEAS that doesn't step on ppls way of life such as abortion rights, social security, student loan debt, voting rights, cutting certain programs, etc., If anything is certain Republicans need to find a way to distance themselves from Trump if they want to continue to be in office b/c more of the same is coming in 2024 and beyond if they don't get Trump-ism out of the GOP.
Trump-ism is real .dumb.

Catering to an elderly demographic is self destructive

Just to add, Republicans try to cater to people becoming more conservative as their financial situation improves.

Problem is shyt is bleak out there for Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z.

Republicans don't realize it.

How you gonna be against student loan reform, against increasing spending on social programs, against universal healthcare when the people you NEED to appeal to desperately need all of them. Like who the fukk is working at the RNC? Fire all them muthafukkas. This doesn't even get into other areas they're behind the ball on. The world is on fire right now and they're still denying climate change, still anti-immigration, still anti-LGBT, still anti-gun reform after multiple mass shooting events. Its going to take massive change. They're going to have to move to the center-right to stand a chance going forward.

It's looking more and more likely the party is splitting in 2024.

You really failed to comprehend the overall point. It's not about solely catering to an elderly demographic. Republicans for years has tried to get rid of social security & abortion rights. They've succeeded with getting rid of Roe v Wade through the Supreme Court and Republicans want to "reform" social security with no real alternative plan to better the system. Social Security isn't just about elderly people but also people who are dealing with long-term disabilities or ppl who may deal with permanent illness.

If the Republicans were to take over their next steps is to fukk w/ppls civil rights (get rid of gay marriage), find a way to limit voting rights, etc., The world we live in has severely changed within the last 60 - 70 yrs nothing would go forward if the GOP has it's say and I don't see Gen X, Millennials, or Gen Z going for the GOP bs policies.

We can dead that "Zoomers are more conservative than Millennials" talk now.

Online is not real life. Which I know we all know, but once again, we learned this in numerous ways this election.

Dudes going on 8Chan and hating on the women they can't get =/= representative of Zoomers.

trump + abortion is such a liability for republicans that they got crushed by the oldest president ever with record high inflation :laff: a 1 seat dem gain in the senate, with a 2 seat majority in the house, is absolutely pathetic

abortion and trump will guarantee another republican loss in '24. trump is gonna spend the next two years crying about 2020, making racist remarks, attacking better republicans, and generally acting like a huge fakkit. he'll get annihilated in '24

also, dems need to put abortion on the ballot everywhere
