Nov 22 gonna be a disaster folks. And given that inflation isn't going away, 2024 will be even worse unless Trump is the nominee.
Explain. Wouldn't Trump being the nominee be the worst case scenario?

You’ve ignored everything I’ve written on this.just ignore everything else I say
I don’t think Trump wins again, against Biden. Harris, sure maybe he beats that idiot. But barring some catastrophe situation I don’t see Trump winning a presidential race again. I think that ship has sailed and it’s really the only thing that can save democrats/convince people to vote.Explain. Wouldn't Trump being the nominee be the worst case scenario?
Historically I think thats the case. A 100 years ago children were working in factories, people were working 7 days per week, black people and women couldn't vote etc etc. Society seems to get more progressive and conscious over time with prolonged setbacks in between.
You raise a good point about the stability of America though. With climate change, increasing political divisions, growing wealth inequality etc something is going to have to give. With all of these issues arise opportunities for us to rethink how we want to organize society. The right doesn't have a monopoly on that. They only seem so powerful and pervasive because they are backed by billionaires and there is truly no organized left. That will change as the material conditions change.
This can't be said enough. No change happens in this country until people are out in the streets demanding change. And the powers that be won't let it happen without bloodshed.people had to go on the street and die to get that. And they were getting paid nothing so they had nothing to lose.
There’s nothing natural or eventual about progress. It takes planning, deliberate action and people willing to sacrifice. The people most educated on history these days - via college education - are also the most comfortable. That’s the whole phrase about people becoming less progressive as they age. It’s moreso they become more invested in certain systems.Historically I think thats the case. And its intentional. They fly over mass action which then has people not knowing history. There’s nothing natural or eventual about progress. The labor movement, and how bloody it was, is not taught. Now whats encouraged is that rise and grind bullshyt.
I mean, they voted to push the country forward in every primary- but they will never outvote older people. The result of decades of right wing propaganda. College age students should be the ones pushing society forward instead they're completely bought on this culture of hyper-individualism.
While I think a lot of people bought into hyper-individualism, its mostly because this nation makes it hard to vote, especially if you are college-aged.The result of decades of right wing propaganda.
