I'm kinda surprised Kevin Owens wasn't let go. If he's made his decision to not resign and leave, the 90 day non-compete would actually be longer than when his contract is set to expire.
i wouldn't be surprised if alot of these people receive a severage payout after being cut. So they might just let a Kevin Owens contract just run out (if he's really debating leaving).

A good booker can do something with all of the available talent, as long as HHH can bring in all of the assistants he had in NXT. There’s an open spot in the ashes of ROH

Even that's 50/50 right now. As far as indies, GCW have been really smart about how they've moved over the past year and made the absolute most out of what they've got. They also do a wide breadth of shows - from comedy shyt, to deathmatches to Bloodsport.

He would have to find TV too, and Sinclair don't seem too keen on carrying on ROH long term, much less rebranding and retooling.
A lot of wrestlers really are taking these releases personal instead of treating this like the business that it is :skip:

It's only a matter of time before AEW eventually releases talent as well. That's just business for you and how it works. WWE and wrestling isn't an exception to job loss.

Because they get worked by everyone backstage saying "It's a family" :hubie:

AEW has released talent. There's a few people who were there when they started who aren't anymore. Even some of the people they brought in during the pandemic are gone.. They seem to just not renew contracts rather than having people sign new ones and releasing them a week later.

You're comparing one of the most charismatic talents in wrestling history to a charisma deficient bum who needs a valet next to him to seem cool and couldn't get himself over even after he was "used properly" by being hotshotted in NXT.

This isn't a matter of "what if Karrion was treated as a big deal?" we saw what happened when he was, nobody cared, Scarlett was the attraction.

Tony Khan isn't about to book this nikka as some big deal hotshot who inexplicably runs through all of his top stars did like HHH did in a failed attempt to legitimize him, so basically Impact is his best shot.
Impact is not taking him back.

This answers the age question some of y'all been asking in here.

Wikipedia at one point had her age at either 38 or 42. Either way, I'd put money on her being AEW bound as soon as the 30 days are up.

Impact is not taking him back.

Don't think either he or Scarlett want to go back given the rumors about Scarlett being harassed over there. On the plus side at least he gets to use the name "Killer Kross" again in MLW or wherever he ends up.

Trust me….. no one in 92 thought Stunning Steve was gonna be one of the biggest stars and anyone who tries to say so is a liar

I'm old, and this is minor... but yes they did have Stunning Steve Austin pegged as a future World Champ back in 1992. He was the PWI Rookie of the Year in 1990, and came in to WCW in '91 beating Bobby Eaton for the TV title off top. All the magazines back in the day had articles about him one day as a future world champ, except it was more in the Ric Flair style. No one envisioned "Stone Cold", with him totally changing his style from a technical wrestler into a brawler.
