Not saying run it into the ground llike WWE did with Triple H amd them in the early 00s. We don't need to see 25 min promos opening every show.

But I'd be mad if I was a Page fan and came to a show and he wasn't on there, or he just came out for a quick run in.

Gotta build your stars properly IMO

I think we also need to take into consideration there maybe certain things going on in the background that we not privy to and have to atleast give them respect for how they handling it.

2 examples are the Brodie situation, when he lost the belt back to Cody and folks was like “aaaww man he should’ve been champ longer” not knowing he was sick.

then the initial Hangman push/storyline when he disappeared and people complained, not know he just had a baby and requested the time off himself to be with his family.

Hot hand or not, take that in consideration. I think they should get more credit for not being like “no fukk that, we in the middle of something HOT, you gonna do what I say or else”

My problem with aew is consistency.

Hangman may get featured mid-show....why not open the show with him? Or close with him. Why not build your characters stories EVERY episode. I might watch AEW 3 straight weeks and only see a crowd fav like Jungle Boy once, other times he's on Dark.

He doesn't open because they don't generally start shows with promos. He's not wrestling every week because constant rematches isn't how AEW works.

Also - they look to be giving a bunch of talent a chance to prove themselves. Orange Cassidy matches close the show fairly often, because from an analytics standpoint, his segments always do well. They wouldn't know that if they kept putting the same people in the same spot for every single show. I could see them putting Hangman in the middle of the show, because he's someone who's storyline seem to resonate with the audience and they don't want people to tune out mid-show when he shows up

Thats always been the case and why they've still got a ton more to cut. Its just its confusing when its not dead weight/people not on TV

I think they company might even benefit from a smaller roster but I also think if theres an injury run or anything else its gonna be tricky to manage

But they still got plenty of people.

I will say this…. If he goes to AEW (or any company) and they use him better and make him something bigger why in 2020+ era is that a problem?

Not defending AEW but just find that mindset interesting when that was always the deal in wrestling history.

Like Im thinking back at the failed WCW guys that went to WWF and was used differently to become stars and vice versa. I don’t know maybe I’m old but I don’t recall back in 93 like “Stunning Steve sucks, I look forward to him going to the WWF so people can lie” and then actively hoping The Ringmaster to fail

It was also reported that WWE will be moving to a new model for signing talent in the new year. Rather than signing wrestlers to long-term contracts, they will be given 60-day trial contracts under the plan. The company would monitor their progress and let them go if they weren’t happy with what they saw.

They'll be treated like private sector consultants.
