Something about Bryant is stressin me. I read that he’s unlikely to go back to San Fran because they weren’t overly happy with his defense and they feel like his swing is gonna drop off a cliff here soon. I’m no pro at dissecting swings.. but his seems pretty compact and he’s always made good contact. Do any of y’all see an issue with his swing?

He's a soon to be 30 yo, who has had similar BB rate; K rate, And BABIP for several seasons. Sign him along w/ Baez and have one of the greatest infields ever.
1B: Polar Bear
2B: Baez
SS: Lindor
3B: Bryant
That's basically an All Star at every position
If we're somehow able to do that, while keeping keeping Stro and getting Marte, then all of us can start talking WS right then.

I'm not too worried about the bat. I am about the defense but with Lindor at short, it won't be much of an issue

Sounds like they were fishing for reasons not to open up the checkbook. His defense was a problem yet they had him in center field in the playoffs? Lol aiiiight

What do the Mets do about Mark Vientos? He plays 3B, LF and SS. If they sign Bryant, he's going to play 3B/RF. Baty is a few months away and is the 3B of the future. I have to see if Mark played LF in the minors this past season.

I'd worry about that problem if it comes. He probably won't see Queens until September and if he lives up to the hype, play him at his strongest position and let Bryant play the other position. Bryant isn't the worst corner outfield option, and if he is, we'll probably have the dh by 23 anyway

fukk prospects, keep both in the minors, someone will inadvertently get hurt, that's when those kids will get a shot. We have a new team owner, who supposedly wants to spend money, Mets should have blank checks and get the best players.
