By "fukk prospects", I meant fukk worrying where they'll be on the roster. Sign the best players, then call one of them up once a big leaguer gets hurt. We know Nimmo is bound to miss 15+ games, so they'll be playing time to be had in the OF.

It would be a bad off-season if you lose Baez and Stroman and only replace them with Noah and Bryant. Those three should be prioritized then you can sign Bryant.

Should you pay him more than the qualifying offer after missing a season and a half? I don't think so. The Angels are desperate for Starting pitching compared to the Mets. Best of luck to him but yeah you can win a WS without him.

Also, Noah isn't the only SP available this off season.

They need depth. That's the point. You can still get other arms. You can walk and chew gum at the same time. No one said he had to be a top end guy. Pencil him in a 4/5 if necessary while he continues to work his way back.

Why even sign a guy who even needs to "work his way back"? We can do better than that can't we?
If they signed a SP who had the exact same career as Noah but never played for the Mets you would not be enthusiastic about it.
