Krystal X says Warren will lose to Trump.

“She’s locked up the Rachel Maddow vote” :sadcam:

I like Krystal, but this is an example of Bernie supporters using faulty arguments. They keep saying Warren coalition isn’t diverse enough, while simultaneously ignoring the fact that Biden does far better with POC than Bernie (especially Black voter, although Bernie is doing decent with the Latino vote). People like Krystal, Michael Brooks, and Kyle also ignore the fact that Warren numbers are going up with Black voters. By their logic Biden should be the nominee. I don’t know why people are acting like these numbers can’t be flip. What are they going to say when Warren numbers keep going up with POC as they find out more about her?

Yeah, this is all true, which is why I support M4A. But I also know that there are political realities to deal with that render the quibbles people have with Warren's support for M4A moot. M4A will not be obtainable regardless of who is in the white house. Expanding ACA to include a public option probably WILL be on the table, and I don't believe Bernie or Liz should be excoriated for taking it after pushing for M4A and getting pushed back. I'm concerned that a lot of the Bernie extremists don't understand this, and will either turn on Bernie for not magically making M4A materialize on his own, or they do understand this and are being disingenuous with their attacks on Warren.
Under what circumstance will the GOP or center-right Dems support a public option? Let's just state this here and now, any candidate or politician who says they want a public option is lying and being paid by the insurers to poison M4A. The notion that there can be any compromise with them is foolish from the jump because their sole purpose is to make profits off people's health. Now other countries have private along with single payer but what Bernie and Warren are striving for is something even greater than that. Considering that America allows corporations to pay off lawmakers to do what they want it is the only feasible option. Also M4A requires a huge movement and take down of the current system from the bottom up. This is why Bernie is better on this because he always starts from the bottom.

Regardless, you don't want to start any negotiation from a place of weakness (public option). So the greatest compromise in this is for some kind of medicare/medicaid (or whatever you want to call it) expansion to salaries at a much higher level and keeping private until it fizzles out. Even this will take a large movement of voters to want it. If not vote for Biden.

They forget 2008. Obama didn’t have black support until he won a primary . Everyone I know was on Hillary’s train until it was obvious Obama had a shot.
