Embree gone. Breh never had a chance.

:skip: Kent State being in the BCS Bowl.

Yeah its looking like they'll be playing in the Orange Bowl. The BCS bowl games are looking :flabbynsick:

We could potentially see

UF vs Rutgers in the Sugar Bowl

Georgia Tech vs Kent State in the Orange Bowl :gag:

Wisconsin vs Stanford in the Rose Bowl

I keep seeing Jimbo Fisher's name pop up in every coaching search rumor

is he unhappy there? or are these writers just printing pipe dreams to their fan base?

fan base is tired of him....but what can you expect when you follow a legend and a lot of the base wasn't too excited on how Bowden was shown the door...very short leash

At the other end of the standings, No. 17 Kent State (11-1) is just one place away from earning a spot in a BCS bowl after moving up six places this week.

The Golden Flashes play No. 21 Northern Illinois in the MAC championship on Friday. If the winner of that game moves up to No. 16 and remains ahead of a conference champion from an automatic-qualifying school, it will crash the BCS party.

There is no Big East team ranked in the top 25, and there is room for Kent State to move up if No. 16 UCLA loses to No. 8 Stanford in the Pac-12 Championship on Friday and No. 18 Texas loses at No. 6 Kansas State.

No. 20 Boise State also has an outside chance to break into the top 16.

so yeah its pretty much a given that either northern illinois /kent state or boise state will be in a bcs bowl with no big east team ranked

wow

Yup. The western and southwestern parts of NC have been more fertile.

But yeah, UNC wanted to play that big time recruiting game, and Davis' underling(s) got reckless...They weren't bout that life. Or maybe they were bout that life, too much! I think Fedora and his people are gonna be decent recruiters though...skirt the boundaries later on down the road, rebuild and build some relationships, not draw too much heat.

A few years ago, SC snatched up that wideout from Charlotte who was a pretty big NC prospect, but he never really produced. Also got J. Saunders outta the Triangle. And SC is getting a real solid QB from Wakefield High in Raleigh, and some other strong NC high schoolers are considering SC right now (Larenz Bryant, Marquez Grayson).

But don't sleep on Eastern NC...

Probably Jason Barnes from Indy.

What you think about Tommy Knotts the old Indy high school coach?

coach of the year toss up between bill o'brien and kevin sumlin

everyone was writing off penn state, lost their starting rb, kr and top receiver to transfers, had a flabby and sick qb in mcgloin, but i gotta go with o'brien:whoo:

lost their first game and everyoen was looking at a 3-4 win season. lost their second game because they didn't have a kicker, i was here saying damn they may be lucky to win another 2-3 games for the year, then they finished the season winning 8/10.

obrien made mcgloin into the most accurate big ten passer:whoo:, used two slow white guys to run in zwinak and fb zordich, allen robisno a gu who cuaght 3 passes last year and could have transferred used him and dude caught 11 passing tds this year:whoo:, defense was staunt allowing only 19 points per game

o'brien got everything and then some from these kids

heisman
manti te'o
johnny football
kenjon barner
jordan lynch
jarvis jones

:whoo:

Penn State's LBs were playing their hearts out

it was a joy to watch that team rebuild over the course of the year and establish their own identity
