I always figured the goal of this offseason was to find replacements for Watson, Brewer, and Korver while finding someone to step in for Rose until he's healthy...

Butler will slide in for Brewer...Seems like we'll get Korvers replacement in the draft and MAYBE Rose back in this draft...

I think Rose fill in will be a vet in free agency...

but i'm interested how we getting this 2nd pick....We moving Hamilton? or can one of those 3 bench guys net us a pick?

guys, there is no guarantee Rose will ever be the same, his game is predicated on speed/quickness/first step.. think of all the players with knee injuries who were never the same.. V Carter, Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill come to mind

always be a bulls fan, what happened this year was pretty sad, I always want to see the best play the best and we didnt get to see that, a lot of injuries in this shortened season (B diddy being the worse, Rose second probably)

reading your post this is what came to mind:

ill always ride with the bulls ever since the 80s when MJ would battle my dude 'Nique (grew up fan of the hawks/bulls, living in ATL), this team was something special until it got derailed by that injury

medicine/ rehab etc is totally different from what it was years ago. and considering the fact rose is extremely young and has the money to get top notch physicians and trainers, its very possible that rose could be ready to go december/janurary. this year just wasnt our year.

brewer needs to go. dude getting 5 mill for basically nothing but okay defense. i had hopes for him early in the season when he had some type of jumpshot but it resorted back to inconsistent and brewer once again became hesitant to shoot. not good

they can let korver walk then bring him back for cheaper, im cool with that, but he can no longer be the 6th man type off our bench. he just cant do it. he needs to be reduced to a steve kerr, jud buchler role, he is not the kukoc of our team, just dont have the skills to pull that off

if they are going to let cj walk they better bring in some quality guards to replace him until rose returns.

the main goal is still to get boozer out of here. take whatever for him as long as it has a pick with the package. im discussing with some guys to take out a full page ad in the sun times or tribune to demand that the front office gets rid of boozer. the cost about 6-8k to do it.

da bulls were fools to ever want booz in the first place, he was a bum when it mattered with the jazz too, i can still remember all the bricks he would throw up in the post season

i was actually cool with boozer at the time. i knew we needed a post presence.

dude still has good post game. he just doesnt have the heart to go to it. he rather settle for jump shots. some say its for the spacing which is understandable, but boozer just shrinks when it matters. cant have that on a championship team, that i overlooked when the bulls were pursuing him.

time to move on from dude. use booz to find a back up for taj and a pick. thats the best we can get for him. but we got to get rid of him.

Okay defense? Brewer was one of the best wing defenders this season:birdman:

and when was this? compared to rip brewer is all world. but personally i witnessed bogans shut more 2 guards down than brewer. he wasnt a terrible defender, but he wasnt that lockdown that we would terribly miss him if he was gone. and personally in thibs system we can make another one of him on the defensive end easily. but we need someone who can be a threat on the perimeter brewer was not that. we need someone who wont blow as many lay ups as brewer did. and its centers in the league with better ball handling skills than brewer.

after we fill out the roster and brewer want to come back as the 15th man on the scalabrine deal thats cool. but we need better for our bench.

There's no guarantee but it's 2012. Hardaway's knee injury was in 97, Hill's ankle started having problems in 2000. Medicine has come a long way since then. If there is any silver lining maybe Rose will re-dedicate himself to the mid range game he has kinda abandoned.
