There's so way stand your ground has anything to do with running up on someone. Not sure why it keeps being brought up.
I also believe it should not be brought up. But we all saw Zimmerman use the Stand Your Ground Law to his advantage even though he ran up on a teenager who was not armed and started a fight.

The guy in Tampa was convicted and his case was more similar to Zimmerman's than this one.

Excellent point!

A critical point of having your ccw is you're never supposed to brandish. Though...it may be negated if GA is open carry.
The guy left his vehicle with a shotgun using it to intimidate another person. That’s brandishing.

Even if it is open carry state, you can’t use your weapon in a threatening manner.

This would be an example of brandishing, the gun doesn’t even have to be out.

So I don’t see how a man chases Arbery in a truck hop out with a shotgun Impeding his path, escalating the situation isn’t seen as brandishing.

its even kidnapping...

wouldnt be surprise they add this to his charge cuz if they determine Arbery didnt commit a crime.. they had no right to detain him.

I don’t see these cacs getting off. The justice system been fcking us over for too long.

I came up 40 min from Brunswick. We not going for this. There isn’t really a huge gang presence like in Atlanta so it’s not like there’s shooters out there (bamas/crash dummies don’t count) but we gon make something shake.

Is this real footage at :39?

What the hell is going on?

The lawyer from the people who own the property didnt call the police about burglaries even though their camera caught someone come onto their property at night on 6 different occasions?

but the one time Ahmaud gets curious he gets killed...

Eye witnesses and camera has him inside a house under reconstruction, which is against Georgia law according to the video. That results in a felony and you can perform a citizens arrest if you catch someone in the act.

However I don't think it was THAT serious to chase him. He didn't take anything, just call the cops and let them know the location.

Looking mighty grim folks.

Where's the felony? Can you cite the particular law?

How do we know what his intent was if he was in there for a bit and didn't take anything?

What was he caught in the act doing other than trespassing (misdemeanor)?
