$15.00 an hour isn't a lot of money.

My last “struggle” job :whoa: I made $40k and I was struggling. Between rent, WiFi, phone, gas, car insurance, student loans, pets, food, essentials I was broke. Like broke broke. And that turned out to about $18ish an hour. Couldn’t imagine anything lower and anyone who can manage making less than $15 has their parents helping them

15 should be minimum wage. That's less than 30 K a year. That's a very scant income. That's about 920 every two weeks after taxes. Let's say you have a roommate and you split the rent on a 1 bedroom, that's probably 700-1000 a month in Cali in an okay area. You have about another 800-1100 for the rest of your bills and food for the month. Let's lowball and say gas gonna run you 100 a month. Car Insurance gonna run you 200. Let's say utilities is another 100. You got between 400-700 left for the month. And you still haven't ate yet.

It's crazy that people making that can't even get approved for food stamps in a lot of cities, because that's over the limit of income.

You can survive on it, but you won't be able to do much after bills and food. A lot of bargain shopping.
I bargain shop at $23.65/hour.

Problem Is The Majority Of This Country Is Making Minumum Payments On 4-8 Credit Cards A Month Totaling $400-$800 A Month Then Yelling They Don’t Make Enough To Live lol

edit: Add In A Ridiculous Car Payment
shyt I didn't even add in student loans, which most people are 5 figures in debt of. But usually you can work out a deal and pay a bare minimum depending on your salary.

Most of y'all taking this literally and ain't digging deeper.

Yt ppl take home more than y'all think. Yes, it's yts working for $15 hr but understand the dynamics of generational wealth...

Sad that y'all think most of yt america lives in poverty, how our ppl do... They have land, wealth and human capital... Connections. Things they won't acknowledge to you.

If you making 15, don't find a second job, you'll only burn out. Instead, look into an automated hustle... The goal is to get paid by the least amount of effort.

Word. Only thing I'll splurge on is sneakers and coats

Everything else, jeans, hoodies, shirts, I stay in a Buffalo Exchange or Crossroads. You get some name brand clothes, that are good quality, for cheap as hell.

Ok, for the folks living decently off 15 an hour or less, post your rent, utilities, and how much you spend on food a month. Just those three alone.

10 years ago I had an apartment for
500 a month,
utilities were about 80 a month
Cell phone bill was about 80-90
Cable and Wi-Fi was about 100
No kids no car payment

Plus I was making about 2500 a month - do the math:manny:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I'm not including two people because you're likely sharing the expenses. An individual only is my convo. 15 aint cutting it for an individual to live with the essentials.

You're speaking from a NY perspective, go into the "How much do you pay for rent" threads and you'll see the cost of living in some other spots Coli posters are it is like 1/4th that of NYC.

Once you see people talking about mortgages that are under $1000 a month you can see why $15 an hr could float people.
