you can easily live off 15/hr in the south, especially in small towns. you can get an apartment for 600 month.

only on the coli are you still living in poverty at 15 :heh:

two people making 15 will be living in a nice part of town and eating very well.

That's the sacrifice. Living in places you may not want to live but still are nice like living outside the major city.

I'm not including two people because you're likely sharing the expenses. An individual only is my convo. 15 aint cutting it for an individual to live with the essentials.

Budgeting guys. Budgeting. Don't go about spending or living beyond your means. If you have poor money management skills, you'll be broke no matter how much you make.

While this is true. When you start making more you want to enjoy more things. You start to feel like you deserve certain things . Right or wrong..

15 should be minimum wage. That's less than 30 K a year. That's a very scant income. That's about 920 every two weeks after taxes. Let's say you have a roommate and you split the rent on a 1 bedroom, that's probably 700-1000 a month in Cali in an okay area. You have about another 800-1100 for the rest of your bills and food for the month. Let's lowball and say gas gonna run you 100 a month. Car Insurance gonna run you 200. Let's say utilities is another 100. You got between 400-700 left for the month. And you still haven't ate yet.

It's crazy that people making that can't even get approved for food stamps in a lot of cities, because that's over the limit of income.

You can survive on it, but you won't be able to do much after bills and food. A lot of bargain shopping.

A yearly vacation used to be something everyone would do, now mindsets believe that is a wasted expense. A single movie ticket on average is around 9 bucks (not here in NY) and assuming you got a lady double that, plus I'd assume you'd want popcorn and a drink, unless you're telling your chick she should have ate and drank before she left the house....that's another 15 dollars. That's roughly three hours wage just to go to the movies, to see one movie. guess that's all a wasted expense too.

After you've toiled for 8 hours plus for this check, you can't even unwind or enjoy yourself periodically. I know cats that wont take their vacation time because it fukks up their overtime.

I'm sorry, that aint living, that's struggling and barely making it.
