$15.00 an hour isn't a lot of money.

Everywhere...You never there.
28 an hour in NYC and I'm budget everything.

:mjcry: only the strong survive in this city

Unless either

A. Your professional trajectory will likely yield two times that amount in the near future
and/or
B. You plan to pool incomes with a partner in the near future
and/or
C. Your supplemental income game is about to take off

... then you should consider moving... no way in hell you should be living on a restrictive budget making 28/hr. What's the point of living in a world class city like NYC if you can't really enjoy it? :dahell:

Na
:rudy: 15 dollars an hour is enough to live off of and still have some $$$ after you've paid your bills (unless you live in LA or NYC)

that's what I was making 10 years ago when i first entered corporate america; I did just fine. better than most actually.

:whoa: I wasn't BALLING though. I was driving a semi-nice paid off car, and I had an apartment.

the problem is everybody wants to live above their means; gotta have the latest clothes, cars, and shoes, rims for the whip, a sound system etc etc..

grow up first and you'll realize 15 dollars an hour is just fine. :coffee:

Actually I agree
Most I made was $13 and I was still broke
No kids

If you dont save money early and your job is your only income 15 dollars you can end up almost homeless. Which means going back to live with parents or a relative. Can't be ballin at 15hr.

Threads like this get a lot of play cause most on here make 15hr. The average American makes 28,000 gross a year off of a job just think about that.

Yeah without some sort of nest egg...one devastating event can have you fukked up. Like teetering on homelessness if it truly is just you with no support.

Especially if you don't have credit. I would hope tho, that it wouldn't be kids involved on 15/hr, poor to no credit and no nest egg. :usure:

What were the last figures about savings? ... something like the average American doesn't have enough in savings to cover a $500 emergency? :damn:

The only reason people want the minimum wage raised is because they think they can ball out on $15 and hour. They spend their money on things they want instead of things they need and that mentality wouldn't change whether it was $15 an hour or $50. But $15 and up is a skilled labor payment, people flipping burgers have no business getting paid that much.

Facts...i make more than 15 but I do a skilled job that requires working. I am not a baller at all. It's a stupid mentality to have.

You can make it work depending on where you live. I had to leave my hometown cause I don’t know anybody making that an hour unless you’re a telemarketer or a doctor or some shyt

Ok, for the folks living decently off 15 an hour or less, post your rent, utilities, and how much you spend on food a month. Just those three alone.

you can easily live off 15/hr in the south, especially in small towns. you can get an apartment for 600 month.

only on the coli are you still living in poverty at 15 :heh:

two people making 15 will be living in a nice part of town and eating very well.
