The Devaluation of Africa is a big problem amongst blacks in the diaspora. I remember a time when it was offensive when anyone called you African, the insult can you lead you to come to blows. And as long as you disassociate this with yourself, you are diassociating yourself with your history and who you are in essence.
I don't the deal on valuing education,blacks during the 1860s of America did so much to set up schools and become educated it seems like in the 1980s mothafukkas just focused on dropping out .Or maybe it was because their parents got hooked on drugs(in the midst of the crack era) first so feeding the family became a bigger priority rather than getting a degree.
