I feel sorry for people in Riyadh attending the event who’ll have to sit through this card til 3:30am for the main event ring walk.
Saudi's have a different daily routine than us Brethren. They work from 7 am to 12 pm. Rest then work and roam the streets after 6 pm until 3 am.
That’s just during Ramadan breh, for which it’s 9am-2pm (or earlier)
Rest of the year, they’re mostly on that 7a-4p, give or take an hour, but the big issue is their weekends are Fri and Saturday. Friday is the Islamic holy day, so years ago their weekends were actually Thursday/Friday, but they essentially lost 4 days of business with the West due to that, so they adjusted to Friday/Saturday.
So yea, these Saturday events are like us USA brehs having boxing and ufc ppvs on Sunday night.
At some point if they want to be serious about tourism and entertainment, they’ll have to follow through like Dubai/UAE did a few short years back and fully align their weekends with the rest of the world.
A lot of Dubai companies have half day off Friday to still honor their holy day but Saudi is a bit more conservative/resistant to commit.. but money talks.
