Lebron didn't choke 2011?
Lebron played like shyt but that series was still winnable. When a player is struggling you gotta adjust and spo never did. Rick Carlisle completely embarrassed him in that series. Spo has never been able to make adjustments. If his pre game strategy isn't working he never has a plan B. dude is a bum ass coach. I don't see how anybody can think any different at this point. Dude is Derek Fisher level. Nick nurse bodied his whole career in one season. Spoelstra would have siakam lookin like Joel Anthony right now :hhh:

When do any of our players develop properly on offense? The last heat player to join the team as a rookie or close to it and developed into a stud on offense was Wade. This isn’t a franchise that’s good at developing young or raw players. The only time since the start of the 2006-07 season where this team was good on offense was when LeBron was in town.
How many young players have the Heat even had to develop since then? How many young players have the Heat had who didn’t develop with us but went somewhere and prospered?

Our players do develop, the thing is we haven’t really got a high ceiling player since Wade. Say what you want about the FO, but they done a decent job of developing quality role players/starters out of late picks(J Rich; Rio, Airplane, Whiteside).

We’ve had enough young players that it’s worth pointing out. For every one of them to flop should clue us in. Getting the wrong coach early in your career can absolutely torpedo a young player for the rest of their career. It took 3 and a half seasons for Spo to finally realize that Winslow isn’t a small ball 3&D SF/PF. Imagine how many other ways he’s gotten it wrong on players. This team doesn’t have thing remotely resembling an identity on offense. Everyone on the team is constantly being asked to play out of position and do things they aren’t good at or being discouraged from doing things they are good at.

Chalmers and Jrich massively outperformed their draft slots.

Both of these are good points though.

I have noticed that spo has fallen off a cliff offensively since having a kid :francis:. He used to be great at plays coming out of time outs, cutting, screening. Seems like all we do now is pass it around and chuck up a three.

I was hoping we would hire that Irv Roland guy because it's clear to me we need some new blood. Spo is talented, but we have too many coaches who only know the Spo way of doing things. He needs to be challenged.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high

It's probably been posted before but this is a great interview.

Haslem tells a hilarious story about how Wade got his car stolen. Haslem makes an offer to Wade to find it. Wade tells him he only really cares about the chain that was in the car. Haslem makes a few phone calls and they ended up finding the car but not the chain. After a few more calls Haslem tells Wade that he could get the chain back but he just has to be okay with how they get it back. Wade was like naw that's okay, i don't need the chain. :russ:

The Miami Heat can continue to fish for that whale they keep talking about. No superstar is going to the Heat in free agency to play for bum ass Spo.
Not just that, but there’s almost no appeal to this roster and no cap space anyway. They’re gonna have to tank sooner or later. The longer they fight it, the longer they’ll be treadmill status. This is a 35-40 win team at best with maybe 2 players who could realistically make big improvements. Why waste the time on that sort of roster?
