The funny thing is I have a cousins who are waaaay lighter than Zoe some with hazel eyes and I'm sure people on this site would swear they were mixed yet if they saw my dark ass with this kinky hair, there would be no question that I'm black.

There's a lot of violence around the border. I mean in some trading hubs like Dajabon it's not too bad.
But there is violence on Haitians and even the ones that do manage to get into DR and work...they're treated poorly.

This Haitian guy and his wife and 2 kids lived next to my uncle about 3-4 years ago down there. Super nice man. Hard working dude, wife was nice. Their kid (like 2 years old?) was annoying as hell tho. But they were a great family. The guy worked like a dog...all day.
