In skin tone yes, but Lauren Hill for example, who was posted, does not look closer

Only 1 of those women fit the bill
They have a couple in her pics that she posted that look closer to Nina than this:

What does that have to do with Miriam Mekaba? So is your issue with Nina Simone her cheekbones? Is she considered an outlier to you because she does not have high cheekbones?

No my issue is the idea Nina's look is "true Blackness"

Miriam is more African genetically than Nina and yet looks totally different :jbhmm:

While I haven't read the whole thread, people have said that Zoe shouldn't have been cast for the part

:patrice:

Poitier seems to be arguing with people who thoughts of what a real black person looks like
I told him that some of the women that Cinna posted look closer to Nina than Zoe and he disagreed. :yeshrug:

African people are the most genetically diverse. Wasnt that your point that Africans do not have just one look?
I think you need to first define what is black. Which is where my video came into place. It showed how the term "black people" was coined and how it was defined by phenotype, thus creating a "black look" which was referred to as ugly and uncivilized. There was a racial hierarchy created with the looks. A white/nordic look being the most aesthetically pleasing to the person who came up with these terms and thus he concluded that they were the most advanced race.

So your saying that out of those 10 pics Cinna posted Zoe looks more like Nina compared to all them?

They don't look like EITHER ONE :dwillhuh:

False. Black as a racial term existed well before de jure slavery.

So bone structure/head shape don't matter? And to keep it a stack Lauryn's lips/nose are much smaller.
Poi, have you ever answered a question directly? :heh: So is size the reason why you consider Nina Simone an outlier? Also, do you know the difference between similar and congruent?

No, I did not factor in head shape because I focused on facial features. Any race can have different head shapes but the races were historically defined by features. Also, high cheekbones are historically considered beautiful and thusly were attributed towards a more white feature. Notice the models and famous people I posted tended to have high cheekbones.
