For one the people of West Africa(ancestors of most AAs) during the medieval period were called " Western Sudanese" which meant western black people. Then you have the Moors during the very early periods, the term "Moor" which meant black. So yeah the term "black" has existed throughout time before slavery though in different languages.

Fact is Zoe SHOULD NOT be playing Nina. Why the hell isn't an African-American actor playing???

The one on the left nose is the same as Zoe probably even more Nina related and the one on the right nose is closer to Nina. The lips are closer to Nina as well and she posses the "cute" look.

Zoe on the other hand:

Nose is less round and her lips are way thinner. She also doesn't posses the cute look that Nina has.
