Bennett was a big time recruit so it's not a shot at him. They're both 6'6ish tanks that dunk on everybody. Bennett was a better shooter though.
If he doesn't have asthma and keeps his weight under control he should be fine.

Nothing average abou that boy
Only comparisons I can think of this Lebron (w/o the other skills of course ) and bill Walker. One turned out great one didn't. We will see how Zion does in a few
Like others said, Zion just looked like Randle 2.0. With that said, you guys think can be an elite wing in the NBA if he gets more leaner and stronger.
DoppelgängerJulius randle was going coast to coast on every play in highschool breh
Definitely agree. No excuse for that kind of basketball.Scout/ Rivals/247 rankings are pretty accurate they look pretty fair to me. So he definitely top 20 in class give or take 10 either way.
He needs to change his attitude imo to reach his talent. Lazy dribbling,Bad 3s, Not getting in a good D stance. A guy like Collin Sexton takes pride in shutting down his man & doesn't take plays off.
If Melo had an attitude like that I definitely would be higher on him.
You embarrass yourself. John Wall was not on the radar of any recruiters at 15. You talk about strength. Strength can be easily added. And you focus on the dude's stats while ignoring that he's the only player on his team that can create. Everyone like's the end product but no one like's seeing it be made.Dudes watching a kid playing in a gimmick system on both ends of the court and projecting him to be a star nba player. Can't defend, no strength, volume shooter, can't jump, but he's going to be a star in college and the NBA.
Can someone name me one thing Lamelo does great? Don't tell me shoot when he just had a game shooting 17-56.
Edit: before the "but but he's only 15", he's officially in his junior year. Look at every star guard in the NBA, and besides Steph, Westbrook, and Isaiah (who are anomalies either based on athleticism, skill, or size), the majority of them were projected as NBA talents or first round talent at 15/16. Kyrie, Wall, D Rose, CP3 were on the NBA radar at that age. Lamelo is not even close to what those guys were at 15. He's not even Lonzo at 15

ESPN Basketball Recruiting - Super 60 Player Rankings
ESPN has LaMelo at #8...
I just want to see him play in a real serious competitive game where he has to play with in a system and play on both ends of the floor. Get him away from a Lavar "do you" coached game for once. If he shines then I'll be sold.neither of those two nikkas are going to be stars
Duds is absolutely right. LaMelo plays like a 2K create-a-player if the sliders for defense were put on 0. Williamson has a chance to get better but he needs a real coach.
John Wall (basketball) - WikipediaSummer heading into his junior year:
In the summer of 2007, after his second sophomore year of high school, Wall was invited to the 2007 Reebok All-American Camp in Philadelphia. Wall distinguished himself by scoring 28 points against a team that featured future lottery pick Brandon Jennings.[2]
In 2008, Wall played in the Elite 24 Hoops Classic. He scored 10 points and earned co-MVP honors with Dominic Cheek, Maalik Wayns and Lance Stephenson.[5]
As for your other point, he's the only that creates because he's the only one allowed to create.
People were saying literally the same thing about Lonzo. I remember cause I was for him after watching some full chino hills. You act like brehs at 15 are supposed to be fully developed . It's 100% facts that he will get stronger and more explosive. That's just natural has a developing teenager. Those aren't his issues. If you have a problem with his he plays the game (volume shooting) fair enough . But if you think a 15 year old can't become a better shooter or a better more willing defender with more maturity, reps, and time? You probably just a hater . He's already better than 15 year old Lonzo. I bet even Lonzo would acknowledge thatDudes watching a kid playing in a gimmick system on both ends of the court and projecting him to be a star nba player. Why do people say "our kids" especially Dudley and Kobe who have no kids or no male kids in AAU.
AAU works, it gets the talent noticed, it has them playing, college coaches get paid to develop and so do NBA coaches.
Its like you work at a company that wants a specialized skillset and they complain that they have to train workers to have the skillset they want.

What they're alluding to is it's killing the quality of the game. Basketball is as big as it's ever been but kids don't know how to play anymore. College and NBA coaches aren't paid to develop anybody; they're paid to win. That's why they recruit the best players. When the best players can't play, and you have to teach them basic nuances and skills, it takes away from game preparation etc, which hurts your chances of winning. Why do people say "our kids" especially Dudley and Kobe who have no kids or no male kids in AAU.
