I am talking about how I wrote off grant hill from duke and he became the best ramp up draft pick in NBA history.
Who actually restarted the draw of the NBA after mike left.
Hill is the only guy from duke who I seen be able to create two team approach style games and still effectively not have his pro game cycled out from compromising at duke.
I don't see kids being able to generally do that and imo, any player at duke who was the man outside of kyrie and hill. Have not really become that guy they said they were when they were a hopeful going college. To this day, Duke plays and puts forth that white boi limiting black player ball.
The ncaa's created to shackle lew Alcindor.
Of which, imo neuters their top blacks recruits from the top talent to a basic role player in theory.
To look at a top prospect who is black at duke is basically hoping they even get drafted and not exposed.

The issues with UNC and the OAD:

1. The Jordan and Dean mystique is gone. This generation didn't get to see Jordan play in real time or remember that UNC under Dean was the one school for producing NBA talent.

2. Roy hasn't fully embraced the OAD system, doesn't develop his players, and there's the perception that he holds his players back. Roy cost James Michael McAdoo and Harrison Barnes (to a lesser extent) millions of dollars when he advised them to stay in school for another year instead of going pro. JMM was projected top 10 pick and Barnes was a top 5 pick. JMM stayed two more years and ended up being a 2nd rd pick; Barnes was drafted 7th the next year. Some people said he should have told Marcus Paige to go pro after his sophomore year. I remember Julius Randle saying the reason he didn't go to UNC was because Roy played him as a just a post player.

3. The NCAA scandal steered top recruits away from UNC. Brandon Ingram said this was the reason he didn't go to UNC and suspect a few other didn't come for that reason as well.

2. LOL, UNC develops the shyt outta their players. They just don't get anyone who can be elite anymore. Ty Lawson might have been the best I've seen from Chapel Hill in the last 10 years. Maybe Felton. Outside of that, who has had the talent to be really good in the NBA. Maybe Wright but he was too small with a poor frame.

Didn’t read everything in here throughly, but I’m with @Poitier on everything in here. Cam and RJ are some of the best wings ever, and were better than Kobe/T-Mac at their age? Almost choked on my water when I read that. Cam was one of the worse players on the USA19 team, and Cal caught plenty of flack over the makeup for that team. It was completely in favor of him recruiting them for UK and nothing else. The fact that K still landed the top 3 players in the class plus Tre. That is incredible. K got UK fans questioning Cal, which is retarded since UK have been 1/2 for 8 years.

Back to Cam, the growth he’s shown during his senior season have been amazing. I do think he surpassed RJ in skill and ability, but I want to see this during college. Same with RJ. His handle needs work, have zero off-hand, and he is a below decent shooter. I’ve seem him dominate his peers, but college is a different animal. I do think Tre is the best PG in that class. He proved it to me during the summer. Only Darius Garland could challenge that. He’s no Tyus Jones though. You better kill that noise now. Tre is more athletic, but Tyus was damn near perfect during HS/Duke.

I’m a big fan of Zion, but he is the biggest question mark. Duke’s training staff will make him shred the weight, but the next Barkley? Do you understand that it’s 2018, and we haven’t seen another Barkley? Chuck was one of the greatest undersized players at his position of all time. He was one of the greatest PF’s at 6”4/5. Ever.

Laker fans are the worst. He is much more athletic than Randle. Randle can't even jump that high. Even in the highlights, you know that athletic ability won't translate to UK much less the NBA. Zion is an one in a lifetime athlete. Those aren't coming around often.

Ive only watched youtube highlights so I dont know about his handles/Jumpshot/Passing and I hope the young guy succeeds but jumping out of the gym doesnt mean anything. Especially at 6'6 270. Just look at that comp hes playing against

Barkley was 6'6 with shoes. Same height as Zion. No one is saying Zion is better than Barkley with the Sixers or even as good as Barkley at Auburn. Why can't ya'll nikkas think for one fukking minute? We are talking about potential comparisons. We aren't talking about right now. Coach Showater who is a lot smarter than every dumb nikka on this site even agrees.



No one is comparing FroBe to any of these players but out of HS, Kobe wasn't this good. He flat out wasn't this good. He has a lot of holes in his game. Same for McGrady. I am not even saying these two will be as good as those two in the NBA. I am saying, out of HS, Cam and RJ are better. Simple as that. I remember these nikkas out of HS. That's not to say, Cam or R.J. can be as good as T-Mac or Kobe as pros but out of HS, they are better. This isn't Andrew Wiggins. These guys can really play.
