For starters, he's NOT going to last long in the league if he stays at 285lbs (I highly doubt his trainers/prep team will let him enter his rookie season at that weight), so he's not going to have that same size advantage at the next level, like he does now. Second of all, his strength/athleticism won't mean shyt if he doesn't have the height/wingspan to finish over longer, smarter and experienced defenders. Tweeners with strength/athleticism as their main attributes have limited ceilings in the league. His success will be predicated on him developing an outside game, because he's not going to dominate at the NBA level with his current style of play.

He's somehow able to be 285 lbs while being the most explosive player on the court with unbelievable quickness and agility for a man his size. That is what makes him like Shaq.

Shaq wasn't all-time special just because he was tall. He was special because at 7'1" 320 lbs he moved like a guy much smaller. He had unbelievable quickness, explosiveness, and agility. Add that to the unbelievable power he had at 320 lbs and you get the physical phenom that is Shaq.

Zion will be a similar phenom because of his unique blend of power, quickness, agility, and explosiveness. We've never seen anyone move like him at 285 lbs.

For someone his size, there was no one as fast and strong.. I know you remember LSU Shaq. His height wasn’t the only thing to do with him being Shaq

What made Shaq special wasn't just that he was 7'1" 320 lbs. There have been other players with his sheer size. What made him special was the fact that for a man that big he was so nimble. Shaq had insane athleticism for his size. He was quick, agile, and powerful. A combination we had never seen before on a man that big.

Zion is similar in that regard. We've never seen a guy who is 6'7" 285 lbs move like him. His quickness, agility, and explosiveness are UNPRECEDENTED.

You give a guy who is 285 lbs, the sort of explosiveness Zion has and we're looking at something the NBA has never seen before. He's gonna make guys in the NBA look as silly as those lil white kids in his high school mixtapes. Like Shaq he's just too athletic for his size.
