But where is this evidence that he has a jumpshot? Where is it? And don't just say you've seen it either. I've given you actual evidence that he doesn't have a jumpshot, so unless you live in another dimension, how can you explain that he does?

Only 18% of his total shots in college were jumpshots - the efficiency of those made-jumpshots were below D1-average (a large amount of them were uncontested)
He's only hit one jumpshot in his four games against NBA competition - out of nearly 50 total shot attempts.

Now can you please explain to me why you think he has a jumpshot?

:jbhmm:

I don't know why you're making this harder than it has to be. It's alright to admit he doesn't have one, the world isn't going to end if you do - many Zion fans in this very thread have admitted he doesn't, so why can't you?

Dude hit .338% of his 3 point shots in college..did you even play basketball or were you just a fan in the stands?

His jumper is there and will get better. Anyway let me stop wasting time with someone that said that a generational talent should come off the bench..even 2k wouldn't allow to do that lol

Sound like the media when speaking on Bron:russ:

He not 285

At one point he was 285, he got weighed multiple times but during college Zion said he was closer to 270. After college he gained weight because all of the media stuff he had to prepare for.

Looking at him now he is bulkier than he was in college so who knows..

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
Dawg is still saying "he hasn't shown he can shoot" after taking damn near 20% of his shots from 3 :laff: as if 2.2 per game ain't enough to guage an ability.

If I drive to work 80% of the time but catch the bus 20%, that means I never shown that I catch the bus :dahell:?

Dude has been getting embarrassed for days :heh:, still literally walking away from every comment we have shut down.

This seems to be the go-to strawman because folks don't wanna address the actual argument. What's the end goal here for you? If you're not willing to understand the point of my argument, what's the point in even posting anything about it, at all?

Of course, I'm not arguing that he shouldn't take shots at the rim when he has the opportunity to do so; shots at the rim are the most efficient shot in basketball, and every team in the league prioritizes them over every other shot. I'm simply putting forth the argument that those [at the rim] opportunities are not always going to be there, and he's going to need to have alternative ways of scoring.

Would LeBron have the legacy he has now if he never had a jumpshot? Would Jordan have the legacy he has now if he never had a jumpshot?

he’s not Lebron or Jordan though fam, totally different archetype than either of them...not sure we’ve ever saw whatever the hell he is, but at his core he’s very obviously far more interior based than the 23’s...i mean it goes without saying that if he ends up having a consistent legit jump shot he’d be even that much better...but you’re in a Zion Williamson Bust Watch thread basically harping on him essentially not being a flawless perfect player at the age of 19, all the while he’s dominating at pretty much an unprecedented level with his style of play....even if he never develops into a knock down shooter, players don’t need EVERY skill to be great...that’s where team building, complementary players, and coaching come in...it’s just wild you’re in here brow beating folks over what his ceiling might be years down the road as it compares to top 5 players of all time and shyt, while he’s 19 years old a couple months removed from campus scoring over the DPOY with relative ease

I guess the 3pt shoot argument got thrown out of the window for its absurdity.

Now it's to saying that a 19 year old won't develop a jumpshot sometime in his 18 year career... Busch league hot take that white people dude do all the time. Trying to marginalize someone else by predicting failure.

It's not even taking his game at face value. Hell, you can't even take a 19 year at face value and dub them for mediocrity.

I'm sure @Gil Scott-Heroin was keeping this same negative and hateful energy that he's showed over 19 year old Zion back when his beloved Steph Curry was averaging 10 PPG on 36% shooting overall in his preseason campaign at 21 years old back in 2009. Cause he's definitely not a shameless GS bandwagoner who didn't even know who Curry was until 2015, just like he's DEFINITELY not a shameless bitter Zion hater either, and is just offering constructive criticism for the young man, right?? :troll::unimpressed:

The closest thing you’ll get to him admitting he’s wrong is him going ghost for months on end until he gets a 2-3 game stretch that validates his ridiculous opinion

No one is perfect. Not Jordan, James, Kareem, Duncan, etc. Like you said, team building will speak volumes

Instead of throwing random takes and preseason rebuttle

Let's be honest, he's alot better than we thought and if he keeps his ankles and knees good... he should be a superstar.
Not many people his size and athletic ability are going to step onto the NBA stage shooting the lights out... he has great form and confidence.
The thing we said about Lonzo being wack and horrible shooter, wasnt because he's trash... its because he needs to practice. Eventually Lonzo will be a great shooter too, it's not just hate from people... its the reality of what you need to work on. By the end of this season Zion will have his jumper down, its completely obvious. Shooting is just a matter of practice, spacing and rhythm ... its not something he will just never work on :russ:
Footwork in the post and shooting should be the highest on his list... by year 3 try to add that fadeaway in. That outside threat will open up huge lanes for him to body his opponents off dribble. This is the same reason why people shyt on Lebron, because he didnt work on shooting regularly till middle of Miami. Even now, he's a decent outside shooter but he's not beasting and bullying the way he should have for whatever reason. Zion has a killer instinct that you can clearly see. I know people will say "Lebron could shoot, look at the Detroit game" but lets be real... Lebron never scared anyone from that distance... people gave him that cushion and tried to stop the drive. Same with Rondo shooting more now, it took this long for them to add that complete game. Zion is so big and aggressive that he doesnt need to work on that, he just needs to stay in shape and he's good from close-mid.

Just too dominant for the preseason not to be a sign of things to come. If Gentry unleashes Zion, he's going to be the clear ROY and an All-Star
