That's not how these numbers work and pay attention to that last line. It says when MCU acquires the rights the character should be even more profitable than it is now (meaning back in 2014).

Well here's a little history. The Raimi trilogy did similar numbers to Spider-Man Homecoming years ago. Factoring in inflation and Marvel adding in another top super hero with Iron Man Spider-Man Homecoming should have easily cleared a billion at the box office. It didn't.

Also, you bring up Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel spent how much marketing those characters over the past 5 years? Not shocking, you didn't bring up that Aquaman just did $1.1 billion for DC.

See this goes both ways which was my point. How the hell did Aquaman make that much more money than a Spider-Man/Iron Man team up.

This is why I try not to pick any sides here because it goes both ways. :manny:

Fam if you're telling me consistently dropping successful movies has no bearing on licensing profits....that is 100% lunacy.

The fact of the matter is Spider-Man has consistently had movies in theaters. Batman and Superman haven't. That alone would sell more t-shirts, toys, etc.

And the flip side of that is, people were leery of Spider-Man by the time he got introduced in the MCU. There has (to my knowledge) never been a Aquaman movie. You're talking about a character that was rebooted in the MCU 2 years after he was rebooted by Marc Webb vs Aquaman, a relatively "new" character whose movie looked different than anything else out.

If that's your argument that Spider-Man is going through a little fatigue (I might agree with that) but then wouldn't Batman also be going through fatigue? There was the four Batman movies when most of us were kids and then the Nolan trilogy that started in 2005 and ended in 2012. Not to mention the Batman animated series and Batman being in Justice League animated series and DC animated movies. There was only 4 years in between The Dark Knight Rises and Batman vs. Superman. That's not a lot of time.

just introduce the justice league already formed and let them fight Mongol or Kaliban:mindblown:

Don't over complicate shyt and just make a decent movie to get fans invested. Avengers was average as fukk but it showed that the larger MCU universe could be pulled off

No, because again they rebooted Spider-Man twice in 2 years. That's unheard of for any character.

And the Nolan trilogy was Batman movies. Solo movies. "Batman V Superman" wasn't a Batman movie. That's like saying "Spider-Man: Homecoming" was an Ironman movie.

I'm just talking movies man. No Batman fan was content with just the animated series, as dope as it was....people always wanted feature films. The two are not comparable, really. That's like saying nobody wanted a Spawn movie after the HBO series. It made them want a Spawn movie more.

I don't believe anything Zack is saying. Also, why would Cyborg have to teleport Flash when he actually has the ability to use the Speed Force to do that?

This is a poor attempt from Zack to save face.
Experience wasn't quite there, obviously.

Zack Snyder man

Glad they got him off

DCs universe didn’t suck because they didn’t spend enough time building...it’s because they hate their own characters

I liked Man of Steel but Snyder was going too far with all this shyt

Bruh hates superheroes

Your whole connect to caring about these characters is built on the work of solo stories. Snyder didn't pull that gritty older Batman take from his imagination. He pulled it from a solo Miller story(which was built on understanding decades of Batman solo mythology). That Robin costume in the case, pulled from a solo story. Doomsday saga.... The Trinity....all stories built over time to make the connections work so we care about the story.

Caping for Snyder's lazy shorthands cause he can't be bothered to do with 2 1/2 hrs in a different medium what comics spent decades building.

Nah
Everybody ain’t watch all the Marvel movies
Solos for each hero ain’t needed

So people get a feel for who the characters are and eventually care about them. You really hear anybody talking about how much they love Cyborg and Flash now?
Exactly

Rocket racc00n got a bigger fan base than Cy and Flash.:mjlol: if you wouldve told me this reality existed as a child:russ::russ:bytch where?:hhh:
In his defense though Flash is known more than Rocket Racc00n. You had older generation of people who grew up on the Superfriends cartoon from the 70s and 80s, the 1990 Flash tv show, the Justice League cartoons from the 2000s and the current CW Flash show. He's not a household name like Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, etc but he's had some pop culture residence in the past 30+ years.
