I’m not looking it at a comic book stage. I’m looking at it with a writer’s mind.

I’m not saying they have to stretch the movies to 15-20 before Darkseid takes over the earth or Supes heel turn. You just gotta let it marinate a bit. Throw some hints here and there. Let it build to at least 8 movies because this idea isn’t 5 movies worthy.

And I’m positive a Supes heel turn and JL break up wouldn’t sit well with a lot of people. You can’t tell me otherwise.
Of course some people will get mad at Superman turning heel. Most people that only know Superman through tv and movies still think he should be like Christopher Reeve's portrayal. Gamers familiar with the Injustice games will get. They were already complaining in MoS and BvS so let them complain some more  The Superman they want will be there when he's character arc is done just like in the Justice League we ended up getting.

The seeds were planted in BvS with the Knightmare scene and Flash speaking to Batman. We built up the connection between Lois and Clark in MoS and BvS.
This is how I roughly see it playing out
Justice League Part 1, League forms to take on Steppenwolf(if Snyder was still going to use him), Lois dies via omega beam by Darkseid and that leads to the realization of the Knightmare scene when Superman resurrects in Part 2, and then the time travel shenanigans leading to a slightly altered timeline, Supes resurrects again and finds new meaning in life like in JL and goes to defeat Darkseid in epic fight that only Snyder can do justice :banderas: in Part 3/MoS 2.
Probably be better to have Supes resurrect at the very end of part 1 and I would think they might include a slight time jump for part 2 with quick flash backs to fill in the blanks needed.

They had a story they wanted to tell and it was five films long and I'm pretty sure they had some writers involved.

Many execs under him have been gone for some time and now he's gone. :manny:
They did a partial restructure 2 years ago I think, but they didn't really change anything, more than they shuffled the deck.
I'm saying I would hope ATT cleans house entirely, because WB and DC film structure is broken entirely.

What is broken? They just made $1.1 billion with one of their secondary characters
The whole dcu movie universe has made 5 movies only 2 have been financial successes and the two most widely known properties in the world produced movies that were modest at best gains but break even and losses.

Compare what they are doing and trending to marvel, its a failure thay nwver should have occured.

BvS was mostly dull and boring but I do like the doomsday battle, that's how you film epic shyt. Marvel ain't match those visuals yet. The Batman warehouse fight was also piff, Snyder delivered big time with those sequences however the batmobile chase scene was pretty weak, Nolan destroyed him there. But the movie was still underwhelming overall because the script was fukkin terrible and Snyder is not a good character director.

Too bad because shyt could've been epic start to finish.
In my view Man of Steel is still the GOAT action sequences in comic movies :whew:

Nobody is fukkin with Snyder

This is where we all lost.

MOS and BvS have the best superhero action sequences by a large margin. Even Thanos with a nearly stacked Infinity Gauntlet was underwhelming by comparison.

Snyder is gone, and so are those visuals. Who knows when we'll get anything like it again. :francis:

:rudy: Ridiculous. The only fail was Whedon's Justice League all the other joints made a huge profit. :camby:
Nope BvS broke even at best.
MoS broke even at best.
Justice League lost money.

WW was a success, and got solid profit.
Aquaman was a success as well with an excellent profit off its budget.

Sounds like he wanted to do Injustice Gods Amongst Us storyline where Supes goes bad. I would've liked to see it but I think that was way too soon to introduce that.

You don't know what you're talking about, JL is the only one that lost money, Deadline reported the profits for the others and you forgot that Suicide Squad also made a huge profit. If you are gonna pocket watch, then do it correctly :mjlol:

This is from Deadline: The bottom line was that Warner Bros made a net profit of $105.7 million

That's before all home video and TV rights were tallied and BvS was one of the highest selling Blu Rays of that year, maybe the highest. :manny:

BvS selling dvds is nice, becoming a cult hit later doesn't stop a movie from being a failure when its launched in theater.
BvS was a failure that at best broke even.
I went over the finances in one of the threatds on this board at the time.
It was the same situation as MoS
