Lakers could use him because he's the shooter they need to complement the 1st unit, then leads the scoring on the 2nd unit. And he's more athletic than their current guards so they can at least "hope" he learns how to play defense.

LA can't make the trade until their new signings free up in December, but these salaries match:

Bulls get: D-Lo, Reaves, Vincent, Hood-Schifino and a 1st

Lakers get: LaVine and Caruso

New depth chart would be:

PG: Lebron, Caruso
SG: Lavine, Christie
SF: Prince, Reddish
PF: Davis, Rui
C: Wood, Hayes

Depending on matchups, crunch time lineup might be:

Lebron
Lavine
Prince
Rui
AD

or

Caruso
Lavine
Lebron
Rui
AD

or

Caruso
Lavine
Prince
Lebron
AD

Lakers would probably have to rush to sign Goran Dragic just so they had someone to run the offense in games where bron sits. Maybe DJ Augustin too for insurance.
If the Lakers want to trade away yet another 1st round pick, I'm all for it.

I'd trade Rui instead of Reaves....Reaves is just too important to the team because of his versatility. And the team would crater without his playmaking.

The Lakers are Interesting with him. He's stated in the past he'd like to play with LeBron.

He was also trying to get there last year as well.

Pros and cons with this rotation

They'd have to get a PG in the buyout market or something cause LeBron can't be your only solid playmaker on this team with Reaves and DLO gone in that lineup

Definitely, I was in the process of adding that piece but trying to see who was available first. I think Goran Dragic would be the best pick up who is available right now. DJ Augustin and Kemba Walker are out there too.

Yeah the only way I'm doing the deal is if Rui or Vando are not included.

The Lakers would look terrible without wing depth.

Yeah, that's why I didn't include Prince in the trade. This scenario they keep all their wing depth. Though honestly, depending on what management thinks behind the scenes, they could potentially keep Vincent instead of Vando and still have a little bit of their PG depth. If Vando hasn't figured out offense, then he's pretty tough to hold onto when you already have Prince in place.

Reaves is a fan favorite but I would trade him in this scenario.

Yeah, Lakers fans briefly convinced themselves they had a borderline all-star when what they really have is a decent 7th man who could maybe be your 5th guy in a pinch if the top 4 were really good.

But honestly I don't think they really need Lavine.

Lavine isn't the best option, but what they have now isn't going to work unless Reaves suddenly regains peak form and then takes a step. Lakers don't have a single guard they could play in the playoffs who looks even above-average right now. That's why they look so fukking awful with Bron out. Lavine would at least be a guard who could make threes and lead the scoring creation when Bron was taking a breather.

Did you see with Bron sitting they were 4-19 from the 3pt line against Portland? 4-19 in fukking 2023. :scust:

I like Lavine a lot, but with Maxey's rise to stardom, his presence isn't as needed as before. I'm also a little cold on trading for him now because the Sixers will fukk up the depth they currently have and will have to part with a key rotation player like Tobi, Melton etc. to make the money match

The time to do was when Harden was here

Our offense struggles too much when Maxey sits.

Melton not it, furk is furk, that leaves 35yo Pat Bev as the leader of our 2nd unit. Oubre will be out for some now too. Batum has "personal reasons" and keeps missing games. He might have to back to LA.

We could stagger lineups where we'd always have Maxey and/or Embiid/Lavine on the court at all times. We'd have a bucket getter for 48 minutes every night. Plus I'd rather have Lavine than Siakam.

Yeah Dlo and Reaves especially can not self create without the gravity of a Anthony Davis screen that's why they looked so terrible against the Rockets that game.

Sixers gathered them assets for a situation like Lavine. This helps Batum get back to the Clippers, after the Bulls wavie him. That's what's most important here

If ur the Sixers do you want to disrupt Maxey's usage for Lavine whos playing his worst basketball at the moment ? Sixers need a wing defender not a 3rd option high usage volume scorer.

Lavine does not help us at all and Thibs shipped Zach the fukk out of the Minn soon as he could. Have fun Laker fans Leon Rose take a damn nap
I remember reading that Thibs preferred Zach to Wiggins.
Lakers re-signings are available to trade until like December/January but they obviously make the most sense as a potential destination
With what assets?

I say no. The person who they really should be able, they likely won’t be able to get unless he chooses to want out.

Dudes are just throwing teams out for the hell of it.
