I think she believes that black politics or blacks being involved in politics is the true answer.

That wouldn't include west Indians are Africans. They owe black Americans who are descendants of slaves and products of Jim Crow. So to answer your question any benefits received will only be for black Americans and black Americans only.

You failed to mention that black american population has a large segment of biracial and mixed black ethnicities have a related connection to the African American slaves. Also, you need to understand the Jim Crow laws did not apply to a specific black ethnicity and it had a negative impact on everybody who is black and included biracial people.

You must have misunderstood me because that was my exact point. This is one of those things that make a black American Experience in slavery very different from that of people in the Caribbean and African colonization.
