I learned today that Frederick Douglass wouldn't be accepted by some black people these days for being biracial.

If you learn that then you learn the wrong thing or you weren't really paying attention. Frederick Douglass is an African-American his experience of slavery is exactly the experience of descendants of slaves. Keep in mind many biracial go up and white households today so they are not the same as Frederick Douglass was. He was quintessentially a black man.

I agree with everything you said. I'm African and have no issue with her opinion and believe blacks (descendants of slaves) should receive reparations. Being a realist not sure if her ideas will ever come to fruition, but it wont hurt to try at something thats deserving. The real question is how many ppl align with your opinion and willing to die because thats the only solution.

I'll get one of the reasons you feel so strongly about that because you have a different history. You are not a descendant of slaves and you are not a product of Jim Crow. You might face daily discrimination but you have been totally economically incapacitated by racist as black Americans have by and large. you have a country you can go back to and a culture you can draw all we have is what's here in America.
