I was surprised to learn that the Tanton network’s primary benefactor was a Scaife heiress. It’s well-known that Richard Mellon Scaife is a Republican mega donor. What I didn’t know was that his sister Cordelia was funding the Tanton network. So the brother funded mainstream Republican political networks and the sister funded less mainstream-acceptable white supremacist/eugenicist/anti-immigration political networks.
@FAH1223 you are a pretty politically knowledgeable guy. Did you know about this?

i feel like the only reason black ppl going so hard for immigration is because the border shyt is a big issue for republicans
The “concentration camps” and little Guatemalan kids missing their parents is all black ppl talking about on my feed
Even more than reparations or other black issues
Why do we care about this? Where are the Asian activists at on this? Like why are we front and center hand in hand with cac liberals on an issue that don’t concern us for a demographic that historically has not fought with us on our issues!?
I say all that to say Yvette being on the board of a anti immigration front group ain’t really a red flag to me :manny:
It’s actually consistent with her position of putting ADOS first
Any existing group towards that effort is going be run by a “white supremacist” more than likely
Put that in quotes cause I need to look into dudes background on black issues
I suspect that the reason this "concentration camp" situation hits home with blacks is because a lot of blacks understand that we could easily be next. Some of this is blacks wanting to be accepted by others and looking for solidarity with "people of color", but a lot of this is just black people understanding what white people are capable of while noticing the writing on the wall. Whites are getting bolder and bolder.

If white people can get away with rounding these hispanics up and throwing them in cages concentration camps or whatever you want to call them, then it wouldn't be that much of a leap to go back to rounding black people up and putting us in cages or back on the plantations. I mean, who would stop them?

They're already getting their ducks in a row politically with trump swinging the SC to the right and also stocking the federal bench with white supremacists. The state republicans are doing their thing on local levels to rig the system so that their opponents are too weak to oppose them. Governor of Tennessee just signed a proclamation to officially honor KKK day in his state. Trump's win has emboldened these people and given them the confidence to push forward. There's no telling what another win for trump and the republicans in 2020 will result in. We could very well get thrown back into legalized Jim Crow or worse.

Look at how trump is playing the game on the world stage, showing that he doesn't give a fukk about America's supposed allies in democracy or what they think. Trump has purposely aligned himself with dictators and strong-men who are known for practicing genocide against portions of it's citizens. Y'all too simple to see the possibility o things to come.

This idea that "shyt can't get any worse for black people in America" is baffling to me. It's hard to believe that you people are actually grown adults at times.

It’s ironic that’s all :mjpls:
A Pro-descendant of slavey agenda and reparations are alt-right now?

That’s new to me

I don’t understand the premise of this thread tho

Is Lyndon B Johnson MLK’s “sugar daddy” simply because they’ve held meetings together to discuss black issues?

Lyndon B Johnson is on record saying crazy things about black people
A citizen having meetings with the president and other powerful politicians in charge of creating and legislating policy in effort to alleviate systematic oppression for his community, is completely different than a private citizen being a board member of a covert white supremacist think tank created to insidiously promote/maintain systematic white supremacy. You people have no shame. It's sad.

Ok so you don’t know how politics work.

Iin order to realistically achieve legislation you have to get your voice heard between both parties. In the real world you have to appeal to people you disagree with in open discussions. There is no realistic scenario in which you completely avoid covert or overt white supremacy/white supremacists in powerful positions to obtain the objective of reparations. The argument against Yvette is done in bad faith because the same people calling her out specifically are funded/backed by questionable entities themselves. While Yvette is open about it and proved she was never funded, people who are actually funded try to hide their hands. :sas2:

That think tank that she's board member of isn't officially affiliated with either party you idiot. Do you know what the term "think tank" is used to reference? Rhetorical. Clearly you don't. Being on that board does absolutely nothing to move the agenda to gain reparations forward. In fact, the people she's associated with through that think tank are the very last people in this country who would ever agree to reparations for blacks. Those are the kind of whites who will be responsible for overturning the government if it ever does authorize reparations for blacks. You're astoundingly stupid.

Think tank. ... A think tank, think factory or policy institute is a research institute/center and organization which performs research and advocacy concerning topics such as social policy, political strategy, economics, military, technology, and culture.

The “why do yall hate ados” & “why are yall against reparations” rhetoric wasn’t gon work in this thread. Too much information and detail was posted.
