So much feelings..

The Black political experience in a nutshell.
So little policy..
The Black political experience in a nutshell.
This shyt is so weird.
I've said repeatedly that my ONLY issue with #ADOS is them shytting on others. They seem to spend so much energy shytting on black immigrants, brown immigrants, the African diaspora across the the world, on this board at least they'll even shyt on you even if just one of your parents isn't #ADOS (and refer to you by that identity instead of by your ADOS identity). I grew up under mentors who taught that the African diaspora needed to be unified and that anyone who opposed White Supremacy needed to be working together.
Now the hot shyt is, "Hey, why don't we team up with White Supremacists to defeat the Black and Brown immigrants!"
One of the loudest fools on this board has repeatedly said that Trump is the only, last, and best hope for getting reparations. How could you POSSIBLY say such bullshyt and not be an agent or at least have your mind captured by them?
Wait, you think these White Supremacists need Black people to walk in and direct them on immigration?
'You see here, Mr. NeoNazi, we're considered that maybe your racism is slipping a bit and want to make sure that you're still fully committed to your anti-Brown and anti-Black policies. You are? Okay, good. Maybe we should park ourselves here though in an alliance to ensure that our mutual interests continue to prosper."
What the fukk do you think the White Supremacists would do without Yvette? Slip up and start liking immigrants?
They get TONS of cover by putting up these Black folk because they can say, "Look, our position isn't racist, look at the tokens we have!" They were EXPLICITLY using that shyt to push fukking JEFF SESSIONS into the Attorney General's office. But what the fukk does the Black community gain by joining White Supremacist orgs?
Y'all got to explain that one to me.
You do not cape for Jeff Sessions and then claim to be progressive, as executive director Leah Durant did. That's as obvious a scam as it gets. They're not progressive, they're just adding progressive talking points to White Supremacist goals. They post stuff that echoes progressives in the hopes of capturing some progressive supporters, not because they have any progressive aims. No, I don't think that. Yvette does and probably other black people in those spaces do. Moreover, you have to remember to PFIR claims to be/is outwardly "progressive". Some of what they post makes sense and echoes what progressives like Bernie were saying not to long ago
Tanton's taking an urban myth mostly unsupported by research and using it to pursue his demonstrated White Supremacist goals. Because the economy isn't a fixed pie immigration doesn't "replace" Black American workers, its primary impact is to make the economy grow faster and thus it adds as many jobs as it takes. There IS some wage suppression in a few select fields, but it's of a relatively minor degree - on the order of about $.25/hour or so in most cases. You could pick almost any other issue (minimum wage increase, better union rights, improved education, improved job training, prison reform, policing reform, reparations, EITC, etc.) and create a LOT more wealth in the Black community than suppressing immigration will ever get you."Progressives for Immigration Reform exists to protect American workers from unemployment and wage suppression caused by unfair labor and trade practices, including importation of large numbers of foreign workers who are subject to exploitation by foreign and domestic corporations working in the United States. At the same time, it seeks to enhance the working conditions of working people worldwide through enhancing economic, health, social, and environmental conditions in the developing countries worldwide."
but the environmental crap (greenwashing) is a dead giveaway and makes me believe most of the splc accusations are true, still their mission statement is not outwardly right wing or a bad one.
I completely agree. I honestly don't know if she's operating in bad faith or not. Leah Durant is definitely full of shyt, but Yvette could be being honest about her position. Not everyone there including Yvette has to be operating in bad faith. According, to the WaPo article she's no longer there, but if you watch her videos she already explained there weren't any other liberal orgs like that she could find.
I don't think Tanton masterminded #ados. I think that #ados is just the natural outgrowth of intaking too many of ideas Tanton and others have put out there. It's nativism in the identity politics era. And the big issue is that despite its aims, it has a better chance of helping people like Tanton than it does of helping anyone else. That's why even though I don't think the trolls started #ados, I think the trolls love promoting it as much as possible. We've seen direct receipts of that. And you have to wonder - if you're doing something that White Supremacist trolls want to pump up, then maybe you're doing it wrong? She also said there were "conservative elements" there on her show. This idea that Tanton masterminded #ados for voter suppression or black division or whatever the hell else is being mentioned is unfounded especially since all what s being shown was already known and public.
PFIR probably reached out to Yvette like the other org did with Dr.Anderson and I don't she should have joined them, but Yvette thinks you can with these people. A position, again, she's always stated.
The plea copping and the insistence to give the benefit of the doubt in the face of wild circumstantial evidence is amazing. Not everyone there including Yvette has to be operating in bad faith. PFIR is not progressive. It was set up as a front group by John Tanton's white supremacist anti-immigration network and that has been well documented in this thread. Whatever mission statement they put out is a psy-op to obscure their true motives and attract certain people, in the case of PFIR, progressive/senvironmentalists, to get them on board with the goals of the Tanton network (anti-immigration, white supremacy, eugenics). No, I don't think that. Yvette does and probably other black people in those spaces do. Moreover, you have to remember to PFIR claims to be/is outwardly "progressive". Well by that logic Jesse Lee Peterson's group is pro black cause it's title is literally "Choose Black America"No, I don't think that. Yvette does and probably other black people in those spaces do. So? ...... ados need to ignore the bull and keep pushing for reparations.....
This thread exposed the gatekeeper mentality a lot of people have when it comes to ADOS. The truth is there are a lot of questionable people in the realm of politics. I’m not going to condemn anybody who decides to play that game because the political system itself was built upon white supremacy. That’s why I decided against going in on OP when he was actively stating that Black Lives Matter was a decentralized group that wasn’t funded or controlled by George Soros. No, I don't think that. Yvette does and probably other black people in those spaces do. Moreover, you have to remember to PFIR claims to be/is outwardly "progressive". The problem with the notion that the PFIR membership was an honest but wrong-headed attempt to use them to pursue her goals (whatever they were because it wasn't reparations at the time) is a hard sell when you consider the ideological realignment with their goals she subsequently underwent. She and her followers seem to have smoke for everyone except alt right cacs. She starts clout-chasing twitter beef with Talib Kweli but makes videos defending Steve Bannon. To what degree she is a conscious tool or not is almost irrelevant to the overall fact that she is a tool, and a tool for the most insidious and racist elements in American politics. If she made a hard break from PFIR and the white supremacists who run it, she wouldn't still be and running interference for them.
Keep your money bruhs. Bauce Soros got us. George Soros Gives $1 Million To Barack Obama Super PAC
Yeah, that’s a cringe-worthy quote. Politicians shouldn’t be bought and sold by donors. That’s the core rot in the political system, and it’s wrong and corrupt whether it’s for causes or policy positions that I agree with or not. This thread exposed the gatekeeper mentality a lot of people have when it comes to ADOS. Why are you deflecting though? Why don’t you address what I said about Carnell and ideological realignment toward the alt right since being on PFIR?
My fault, I thought you were @Gmoney I was responding to about the Tanton network’s role in YC’s politics. He was at least trying to have honest conversation about it unlike you. Sorry I hit reply. It’s ironic that’s all
A Pro-descendant of slavey agenda and reparations are alt-right now?
That’s new to me

People are still giving PFIR the benefit of the doubt?
