After watching the body cam footage, best case scenario is that ole girl had a mental health episode and committed that. And dude got scared as hell cause he knew nobody would believe he didn't do it. So since he aint all the way there either, somehow he convinces himself that the best option for him is to get in the van and go home like and hope nobody asks any questions. And obviously his parents got the best lawyers that money can buy cause they protecting ole boy better than the president.

Of course this story depends on us giving him every ounce of doubt.

You mentioned possible homicide in your original post, which I responded that they have no proof that she’s even dead at this point. They’ve already inspected the van and whatever evidence he had in his possession is now more than likely gone at this point.

As long as he doesn’t talk and they have no actual proof she’s dead, then there’s nothing they can do about the situation as she’s just a missing person. He knows exactly what he’s doing by not talking.

They are doing exactly what a lawyer should do in telling him to keep his mouth shut, which is unfortunate in this particular case, Even when the eventual interrogation comes, they are going to right in that room along with him making sure that he doesn’t say too much.
