None of this has to do with a Top 10 list. A lot of people have it in their Top 10 of 1999. The people that don't has nothing to do with what you're spewing here.

maybe you don't know how this chit started.

i was criticized for not have mobb deep on my list.

that's what caused me to say what i said, and i stand by it.

Bro if u gonna go by that than they were never top tier because they never sold as many records as their contemporaries. Try again fam. Lol. It’s not about them being my favorites. It’s about reality fam. I remember what was going on during that time frame.

so now youre saying that they were never top-tier.

what are you arguing about then?

why am i obligated to have that chit in my top 10?

My nikka I never even mentioned u having them on ur list. lol. My issue is with u saying nikkas ain’t fukk wit them for Murda Musik. I’m not gonna tell u what to like bro. Lol. Im saying just cause YOU didn’t fukk wit something don’t mean it was the same for everyone else. Either way. I’m not saying they weren’t ever top tier. They weren’t superstars tho. And Murda Musik is when they got the closest to that.

its not about what i f*cked with.

if you cant see that they were semi-old school by that point, then i don't know what to tell you.
same with wutang, bone thugs and others, altho they were bigger acts than mobb.

im just keepin it a bean bro. im not gonna sit up here and pretend that mobb deep was in the same discussion with the ruff ryders, rocafellas, etc in 1999, just because theyre a favored group on the coli.

I know how it started, but downplaying Mobb Deep has nothing or should have nothing to do with why you didn't list them. This could've been deaded with a simple "I didn't think that album was Top 10 material " or "it's my list, drop yours and keep it moving". You resorted to downplaying Mobb Deep to justify why it didn't make your Top 10.

I didn't downplay anything. its just facts.

and why do I have to speak so properly, when the bul that started this whole thing came at me disrespectfully?? nobody is going to say anything to him?? I guess hes excused because he liked the mobb deep album.

that's like jumping down somebody's throat if they left "tougher than leather" out of an '88 top 10. they were semi-old school dude. even if you think it was top 10, you shouldn't be surprised if somebody else left it out.

and tougher than leather >>>>>>>>>>>>> murda muzik

This wasn't about who disrespected who. It's about downplaying Mobb Deep in order to justify why YOU don't think it should be in your personal Top 10. None of what you posted was even relevant or even true. All you did was basically say you don't think the album was worth the hype and tried to pass it off as Mobb Deep being "semi-old" to save face. Novice tactic.

Fam u lost ya mind. How the fukk were they old but The Lox not? Explain that my nikka? Jay not. Nas not. Pharoah Monch was POPPIN in 1999. MOP was POPPIN in 1999. Missy Elliott was HOT in 99. We talkin bout 1999 here. Them nikkas was in they early 20s. And selling more records than they have in their life. U sound nuts fam. Ain’t nobody look at no damn Mobb Deep as old.

I don't recall this album being hyped. it kinda came & went.

I use the term "semi-old school" all the time. its not even a negative term.

I was disrespectfully asked hard questions(and nobody is calling dude out for his novice tactics), and in return, I gave hard answers.
I descriptively stated why each album dude mentioned, wasn't on my list.

I don't know what yall want from me. its like yall have your own little hip-hop fortress set up, and yall want me to adhere to the popular opinions that yall have established in this niche setting.

mob deep's style was phasing out.

only people here that I would say were REALLY poppin in '99 were the lox & jay.
nas was poppin too, but he phased himself out by the end of the year.

I don't even remember MOP being around in '99. I guess they were droppin underground chit in BK??
missy's album was a flop til "hot boys" saved it and that was moreso a 2000 single.

Well it was hyped because it fell victim to heavy bootlegging and they changed the album. The album didn't exactly come and go.

Semi-old school being used to describe a group that was six years old with their biggest album in year six is less than flattering.

And no, nobody should be drilled about what's on their personal list. It's not even about that. You still downplayed Mobb Deep for no reason to justify Murda Muzik not making your list.

naughty by nature was still selling records.

plus jamboree is low-key one of their biggest hits. and that's saying ALOT cuz they have a big catalog of REAL hits.

but yet, I didn't see not one person vouching for them in here, or acting like they were big chit in '99.
if I called them semi-old school or flat out OLD SCHOOL in '99, nobody would say nothing.

clear example of the double standards & favoritism on this board.
mobb deep is one of the coli's favorite groups. I get it. LOL.
