Now the entire squad is girls who have been developing skills for 8-10 years. They all know how to play now. The ones who rise to the top in that field are so much more skilled than what we saw before.

Women's ball was basically at the 50s NBA level in terms of talent pool and development (tho at least they had access to modern skills knowledge). This generation is the one that will pull it more into the 60s/70s era. It might end up stuck there, we'll have to watch and see if women's sports ever get popular enough to take the next jump.

The women's game is evolving but a healthy Paige doesn't look "different" compared to Maya Moore and Diana Taurasi at UConn and they were 12-20 years ago. Clark really the alien because the Steph/Dame range shyt is not normal in the women's game.

I’ve played against a few D1 women’s players before. If you go to a big uni they come in the rec and hoop with you. The biggest thing that hurts women is they just don’t have the natural speed and strength guys do. Even if they have the measurables, dudes physicality is usually too much for them. A team of bums would run them off the court strictly off of hustle and athleticism they arent used to dealing with. I always laugh at these women to men comparisons in sports because it’s so far outside of the the realm of possibility.

Just to clarify, not saying It’s impossible for them to compete but if we’re looking at averages and against people who are in shape, it’s unlikely.

The reason is nobody can identify with these WNBA teams. Iowa is still Iowa, male or female. Same with LSU. Those are house-hold names. Can you name 5 WNBA teams? The average sports fan doesn't care about the Los Angeles "Sparks".

It also doesn't help the reputation of the league is in the toilet. The reputation of the WNBA is nobody gives a fukk about the WNBA and its in fact considered cool and correct to not give a fukk. They need an image rebranding.

My athletic prime and when I used to play basketball nearly everyday definitely going to keep it competitive, maybe win. I give it 50/50. I was more of a passer once I actually learned to play, but I had a handle and a nasty hesi/midrange game.

She's only 150 lbs., my shoulder would give her work in that post. As Luka would say "Too fukking small". There's nothing she could do defensively that'd scare me.
