It's getting there, the 2023 and 2024 draft classes are gonna be huge for the wnba, you're looking at 4-5 generation talents. People just need to see dominance and star power in the sport to gain interest, I think the Aces will help with that too

The women are clearly getting more talented as women's basketball continues to grow in the state, and the elite prospects are adopting more aesthetically pleasing playing style. These women also have more star power thanks in part to hoop culture/social media.

Idk bruh

WNBA is just in a shytty time slot. It’s summertime, games are played at like 2 PM. College fans will support their college teams no matter what. They don’t even have to know the player. WNBA will never have that type of support. Caitlin could play in the final tomorrow and play her first game in the wnba the next day and people still won’t tune in to that wnba game. No one watching Ionescu let’s keep it real

Also college basketball the stakes are magnified. We can put it into context, a national championship is a national championship no matter what sport or gender. Wtf is a WNBA championship. If their championship means nothing to me, why would I watch their season

Yea but they were more in the mold of just dominant athletes, these young chicks bringing new skills to the wnba table. A Candace Parker mixtape is boring, but she was dominant. But the skillsets of Clark, bueckers, Smith, etc are exciting to watch and new to the realm of women's hoops. Women have never been this skilled in basketball. And I'm mainly speaking from the pov of a person that is slowly coming around to the potential of women's basketball. I used to hate it, now it's become enjoyable. And also...haha, notice how the women ballers are becoming more attractive by the year, I think that says alot. Women are starting to really buy into basketball.

Nah breh, this era is different. I remember back in early 2000s, even at the high school level your average LA team had no more than 1-2 girls who could really play like guys played, who looked natural with the ball. If you grew up playing basketball you were automatically the star, it wasn't any deeper than that. Talent pool was thin as fukk

Now the entire squad is girls who have been developing skills for 8-10 years. They all know how to play now. The ones who rise to the top in that field are so much more skilled than what we saw before.

Women's ball was basically at the 50s NBA level in terms of talent pool and development (tho at least they had access to modern skills knowledge). This generation is the one that will pull it more into the 60s/70s era. It might end up stuck there, we'll have to watch and see if women's sports ever get popular enough to take the next jump.

Hell nah can’t none of us keep up with her. There’s some kinda crazy stat that show she shooting damn near 50% from like 28 feet plus or something like that. That’s Steph and Dame range :mjtf:

Women’s College Basketball and College Softball are the two sports you can say are significantly better or at least more popular than it’s pro counterparts (I can’t even name a Pro Softball league).

I stick up for WBB a lot, and she's easily the best player I've ever seen. She can shoot and play off the bounce, but what's different between the natural scorers is that she lethal when she gets double teamed. She knows exactly where to go. Her IQ is off the charts.
