I'm no comic book head but I thought it was a little forced.

I don't think they even needed that scene. It was clear without actually saying it that the Blake character was Nolan's take on Robin.

But it's whatever. Like you said the reveal had the theatre going :ohhh:

Yea, as soon as I saw JGL I knew he was Nolan's Robin. So when people in the theater was shocked I was . It was so obvious the whole movie.

I ain't read comics since the 90s and thought the movie was terrible.

The Robin shyt wasn't even the worst thing involving that character. The worst shyt was JGL randomly asking Bruce is he Batman "because I seen a look in your eyes" or some silly ass shyt, and Bruce was like "yeah, I'm Batman".

The fukk is the point of wearing a mask if you cop out to the first person that asks you?

Whole movie was full of :snoop: moments.

Fred.

what about catwoman wearing a mask that only covers her eyes. i mean seriously, gotta be the stupidest mask of all time (next to robins mask which is pretty much the same thing). like, i wonder who that is behind that eye mask. smh.

as a comics nerd, I was actually kinda glad they did the "Robin" thing like that.

if they hadnt, and named the character ANYTHING near a bat sidekicks' name (even Jean Paul Valley)...

it would have led to two things:

1. Us actual fans whining and wangsting because he wasn't more action oriented super action dude "When he gone put on his masssskkkk"

2. there wouldnt have been a "reveal", as everyone would have known what to expect. How would YOU like to be a non-fan hearing some p*ssyless geek smelling like he sweat mountain dew talking about "OH HE GONNA BE ROBIN AS REVEALED IN DETECTIVE COMICS #366 THIS IS SOOO COOL WATCH THIS"

if watching Arrow has taught me anything, its that swerving continuity really can be a good to great thing.

of all the times I've been to the theater, I've never experienced a collective wave of excitement from a single crowd the way my theater reacted when shorty from TDKR delivered this line.

Dudes were literally like "woooo :ooh:" giving each other fives and shyt

things like this is why I'd say TDKR was my best theater experience. Usually at the theater, even though its a wide variety of people there, it feels you're only watching the film with the people you came with. This time, however, it felt like we was all in that muthafukka together. The collective silence when Batman caught the beats in the sewer...

:whew:

anyway, what would ya'll call your best movie theater or IMAX experience?

Ya'll got geeked over Robin?? I thought he was pretty much seen as the Jubilee of DC. Whenever we were kids playing with superhero toys, whoever got left with the Robin it would be like :umad:

Same. I love TDKR but that was stupid. Terry McGinnis or Jean Paul Valley would have been better but the crowd would have probably went :what: after the secne.

I needed to see that shyt in your theater. I saw Clerks II twice in theaters and both times there were less than 12 people in the theater.
