He gets beat a lot now and getting beat by players not close to his level. Revis can't stick with fast or shifty receivers anymore. He can stick with physical receivers like Dez.
His contract would free up a lot. Hopefully we can develop some corners on back end of depth chart. Looks like Milliner will be a bust and Mcdougle is a waste. Walls is serviceable enough. We really gotta develop some talent there because Cro might be gone and Revis isn't what he use to be.

On the Revis front, he's played a big role in Pryor/Marcus development the same way he did for the NE Secondary.
Also, Bowles plays less man & Revis will be able to make the transition to Free Safety

Dez is hobbled up and I'm sure you seen what other receivers have done to revis this year. I know revis is last elite player we had in a long-time you still gotta see he's not worth that contract.

Yea he does get beat more often now

Difference now is In his prime you can leave him on a island (revis island) and wouldn't have to worry
