The point is that Supes falling in line with Luthor which implies he cares for his mother certainly as much or even more than Lois.

And if your argument really is that he can't be Superman and love Lois Lane because of Lois' self-endangering antics, then I don't know what to tell you. That's just pure awfulness, especially since it's Lois who is forcing that burden onto him.:russ:

of course he cares for his mom, it's his mom....so again: what are you talking about? lol....and no, he didn't fall in line with luthor cause he didn't go to fight batman, he went to ask for his help.....

that's not my argument, that's the shyt you said lol...I just said that it was the logical answer, agreeing with you, cause it is.....you're trying too hard man, you're confusing yourself lol....

I can't even remember but my point is they're kinda inconsistent with it. I mean, we don't even know if he just hears the screams, we just assume it's super hearing. That in itself is a bit of the problem because they never explain how extensive his powers are or how far they reach.

lol yea, just stop man...cause super hearing is one of his powers...they established that in MoS....just like they established flight, strength, speed, and heat vision.....you know, the basic superman powers...I swear, some of you cats man, smh.....

I go back and forth with my feelings on Doomsday and the Death of Superman subplot.

I think it's excellent to use it as a stepping stone to get the JL but I also thinks it's too soon.

Also they could always use Doomsday again since he was been rebirth many times in the comics.

I thought the same at first but with the doomsday character doing it now works for me since this isn't a villain that requires depth or development. To my knowledge he came from outta nowhere when he killed(knocked out) Supes in the comic. As someone else mentioned gotta give them credit for actually killing superman. Seems fresh comic movie wise not protecting such a main character even if temporary.

Maybe they should take note and it wouldn't getting such awful reviews

Too rushed and poorly executed

it's not rushed, they are following the comics, just like marvel is following the comics...but I know, that doesn't fit your narrative, so proceed....

after a lil research, I've changed my mind: he isn't the luthor i'm thinking of, he's not playing alexander luthor of earth 3, he's actually playing the lex we know...in fact, he's playing lex how he was originally in the comics...lex didnt start off bald nor was he the charismatic guy we later got to know....he grew into the one we know and became bald later on (by mistake)....which makes sense and goes with the coming of age theme of superman/lex/jl.....in the next film with him, he'll be more like the guy we know....
Bullshyt you are not a comic book fan. He was a mad scientist but even in superboy he was never a weirdo.

Who is the villian in the painting on the Lex wall at the end?

it's not a villain per say....it was him trying to get the point across that say that superman is like the devil, but he came from the sky, not underneath....also, they happen to look like darkseid's flying creatures (the things in batman's nightmare screen)....which further illustrates his point that devils come from the sky....

Interesting you mentioning this. To me the movie was a live action comic and not just a movie made about comic characters. This seems to be both it's gift and curse.

lol if you say so....when he first got introduced, he was a recluse, not charismatic, had hair, was twitchy....he later became what we know him to be.....

in the film, you could tell that he was still trying to figure out how to be the 'good' guy to the public, and himself in private....the speech he gave at the dinner shows that...after some time, he'll get it down and be the established luthor we know....just like superman was growing towards the established one we know by the end of the movie....

yea, that rushed shyt people keep talking is bullshyt...in dc comics, superman was first...he was the first world known super being....others existed, but they were considered myths/legends, only locally known...after superman, the rest started showing their faces, coming out to the world....so far, that's exactly how it's playing out in the movies, which is all we (fans) can ask for: for them to follow the source material....marvel is doing the same thing, following their source material, that's why they've gone with origin stories for the most part....

True. They crammed 75years worth of character development into 3 hours of entertainment and setup for future movies. for the most part did well, I think they did well. After ready these post as well as some from other sites, I ain't really sure what ppl wanted outta this flick.

I don't think they (people on sites) know what they want....I say that cause even when you give them what they ask for, they complain and then say they wanted something else, smh......and i'm not just talking about this movie either, in a lot of aspects of life people do that dumb shyt...
