People keep saying that and it's not the case at all.
Deadpool got legit praise
First class got legit praise

If you make a good movie you will get good reviews. It's that simple.

We gonna act like ASM2 wasn't shytted on by critics as well??
I am not talking about these films reviews in general. I am talking about people using "not doing it like Marvel" as the foundation for 90% of their dislike of this specific movie.

Maybe, maybe not. But it also calls into question whether people are actually critiquing the movie for what it is and not hating just because it is not being done exactly like Marvel makes their movies.
You guys have to drop this.

Not a single negative critique of this movie comes from it not being done the "Marvel Way". Can everyone parroting that nonsense stop for a second and remember that The Dark Knight is the most universally praised comic book movie ever, and is the film responsible for why people now judge comic book movies not as just dumb action flicks, but instead appreciate their potential to be genuinely great films. TDK was dark, TDK was "different", it was complex, it had a lot of characters, it wasn't funny, and yet to this day only it's the most universally praised comic movie.

This is a bad movie. Straight up. Damn near everyone in here praising this movie first starts with "The editing was bad but-", "Eisenberg was bad but-", "Some of the writing was bad but-", "Cavill was uninteresting as Superman but", "It was too long but", "Doomsday looked bad but-", "The final fight wasn't that great but-", if so many people who enjoy this are so acutely aware of it's many flaws, why is it so hard to believe that many, perhaps even a majority of people, will not be able to excuse the laundry list of basic movie making errors made in this film and not be able to enjoy it?

Plenty of suprises and other parts in other films.

All the best scenes were in the trailer.
There were no suprises.

This is fact.
Nah this film surprised me a few times.

Batman's dream sequence when Superman said "she was my world", Flash going back in time, Superman's death, Lex blowing up the US capitol, and Darkseid's overall influence in the film

It might not have plotholes but it has EXTRMELY lazy writing.

Getting on one knee cause lex has his mom yet has no problem saving lois from point blank gun range and hear her drowning :dead:

Batman letting him go cause they mom share the same first name :dead:

The entire doomsday act :dead:

The stuff the movie does good. It's really good "batman and Alfred" but there's a lot of inconsistencies in this movies. The movie literally was just rambling for a hour straight.
Don't agree with that first one. For sure agree with the other 2 points. Batman letting him go just because him mom has the same name as his mom was dumb

I've seen plenty of negative reviews comparing it to Marvel and while I can point out the flaws, they weren't enough to suck up my enjoyment of the film or remove immersion in the universe. Some folks pick up on flaw after flaw and that ruins it for them. Some of us can see the flaws but still go "I was throughly entwrtained"

This guy that mad lol

It's reaching Fan4 scores maybe even worse
So we going by scores and not personal opinion? If you, yourself, find it bad ok. But we're talking about Rotten Tomatoes, the same website that gave Prometheus, an almost universally hated film, a high 70%. It even rated the Star Wars prequels on the high 60%s to low 70%s so :mjlol:

I think it was way too early to use Doomsday and a death of superman plot. Not sure what other villain could have been used instead but still :francis:
