Thurman is not beating Spence :mjlol:
His power isn't all it's made out to be either. Once he took a step up in comp, the KO's have disappeared. One stoppage in 3 years/5 fights and that came off of a headbutt caused cut against Collazo. Fighters that aren't bums have been taking that right hand just fine
:dahell:

Guerrero, porter, collazo, Chavez, all said his power is real.

while I agree about Broner's talent, I do think there is a lot more than separates them than you say. Broner's style is just not conducive to beating the best opposition at higher weights. He fights too much like Floyd without the IQ or defensive skill. Floyd is probably the only person that can get away with that pot-shotting style. he and RJJ were special talents. Broner throws too many single shots and is too predictable. punch output too low and he isnt a threat when he is in a defensive stance. he could get away with that at lower weights because he is a pretty big guy. he has a wide back. while his body fits in well at 147, he cant overpower or hurt top level opposition with the consistency he did at 130-135.

Broner's fighting style has nothing to do with him having talent, which is what my post was about.

Broner fights more like James Toney than Floyd, but since he idolizes Floyd, everyone always compares him to Floyd.

Broner knows how to box effectively against bigger dudes (Molina fight) its just for whatever reason he doesn't stick to that gameplan enough.

nikkas always talk about Broner's defense but dude has good defense and doesn't get hit as much as ya'll make it seem.

nikkas act like Broner is Mike Alvarado when it comes to defense

didnt get to come in and chop it up with you brehs last night but the fight went as I expected. tough in the beginning but even from the first round, where Kell started great...it just felt like as time went on he was going to get weaker. some of this has to be attributed to him coming down to WW. WW is definitely a thing of the past for Kell. his stamina will not be as good and also the eyes swelling likely comes from the rapid dehydration after losing so much weight.

the difference to me really was that you have a guy that is younger and in better shape right now. youthful exuberance is hard to overcome. no way Spence is going to fatigue anytime soon. once he stepped up the pressure, Kell had to expend too much energy to try and keep him off. like Paulie said, it wasnt just physical pressure but mental.

Spence still has some things to improve on, like his distance. He missed a lot when he was using the wrong punches at the wrong distances.

Kell is a helluva warrior. :salute: to that man. A fight with Khan is interesting. it all depends on what condition he is in. before the GGG fight I wouldve favored him...but Khan is pretty fresh and hasnt been in these wars, (Porter, GGG, Spence). His hand speed is still great and he can crack. Kell really would have to smother him or I think Khan picks him apart at this time.

I favor Spence over anyone at 147 at the moment....even my guy Crawford. Spence is very strong physically and I love his body punching. I definitely think he will beat Thurman.

but you were comparing him to Spence for some reason? obviously there is more than talent that separates them. you may as well have brought up Zab....who was more talented than both of them in his prime. we know Zab physically was more talented than Floyd. but that dont mean much really when you get down to total boxing ability.

offensively, he fights like Floyd to me. the way he steps forward looking to pot-shot. he doesnt look like Toney at all to me. Toney was way more crafty defensively and was a sneaky counter-puncher with power. defensively he was really tough to nail solidly. he has so many angles that he could move and throw punches from.

I dont think Broner's defense is bad. thats not what I intended to say. its good. but he cant be effective on defense and offense at the same time. thats where he differs from Floyd and Toney. when Broner is on defense you really dont have to worry about him offensively...you can tee off on him. he doesnt integrate his defense into his offense effectively. the best Broner is the one that moves his hands and is aggressive but he is either playing offense or defense.

:snoop: at the length you going to discredit Broner. Floyd and Toney are like top 25 most defensive boxers ever. You can have good defense and not be on there level. Damn near half the boxers out, can't properly blend offense and defense together. That's why we have a lot of very good boxers and not a lot of great boxers.

Broner is sneaky offensively as well. Word to those shots that dropped Porter and Taylor.

Broner fights in the pocket like Toney or elects to walk you down. Floyd hits you and gets out of dodge. Broner and Toney pop you, and stand there defending in hopes of getting another opening. Broner may throw some of his punches like Floyd, but the way you throw punches and how you actually box are 2 different things. His overall style is more Toney than Floyd. He don't use the ring as much as Floyd. Maybe Broner has a lil of both of them in his game, but both operate it at a higher level.

Spence to me looks like a sharper punching Ward with a bigger punch at his weight. obviously he likes to apply pressure but he can fight going backwards as well.

Is there a new plug for quality boxing uploads? There used to be a French dude that would upload nearly every card for years until he decided to call it quits. Its been a drought since then.:mjcry:
I have no idea to be honest. I been looking for some but only find some here and there from forums

Why need for the first sentence/point.
Just say get well etc..

Exactly, but this is Khan we dealing with here. Somehow he equates that lil sparring session with Canelo into some epic war, when the only thing epic about it is the knockout he suffered.
