there was a lady who worked for a newspaper who said she could't believe Reagan won the presidency in 1980 because everyone she knew hated Reagan...well obviously only had friends who shared her beliefs

sometimes even when i talk to people who share my beliefs i can be pretty aghast at some of the mean hateful things said

and i just think have conservatives forgot about human empathy for instance when it comes time to talk about illegal immigrants

ultra political people on both sides always feel the other side is out to get them and never look at actual intention they just assume the other side is up to no good...a hardcore conservative would think a liberal is evil who wants to take over the world in a communist dictatorship...obviously i know most liberals have good intentions and want to look out for people i just feel it can lead to inefficiencies

and liberals think somebody likes me hates poor people and minorities when that is absolutely wrong i'm a very empathetic person i just have different ideas on how to lift people up

so you guys have never been around a gym when its filled with older white men? Usually in the am before work day stars like at 6-7am. Talk like Kingpin is prevalent especially during election time...

you guys are clearly not around the demographics that talk in republican speak they don't fear hiding it dudes, but the country is a big place and its easy to forget that in your own bubbles and inner circles

look at the red and blue maps its usually the big cities littered in blue but the rest of the country is flooded with red ...the fact that cities have higher population and density have given blue the advantage lately but there is a lot of red out there ...and once Obama is out of office i would bet on red in 2016 just due to the fact that its rare for one party to win presidency 3 times in a row

Maybe they do this when black people are around. Even the few times I have heard them discussing politics, it's usually done in a reserved and respectful manner....especially when I or other black people are around.

Maybe they go in after we leave, but I have never heard anyone be disrespectful or overly aggressive like a lot of right wingers tend to do online.

bro if you live in DC its like 95% democrat haha lol and military people wouldn't want to talk down about the commander in chief especially in Washington DC at the pentagon no matter how much they disagree, your just asking for demotions if that gets back to the wrong people

and maybe you being black might mute them since they wouldn't want to create awkwardness if they go in on Obama...but i would imagine for many conservatives being around black people would make them want to speak out against Obama even more lol it probably gives them more of a rise since they probably have someone directly to blame right there in front of them

Yup. I talk to some right-wingers, and I know that they hold back a lot of their true feelings when we talk. People generally don't want to make those around them uncomfortable, or offend them. People talk about the anonymity of the internet changing the dynamic of the dialogue, but it's not just anonymity. It's also the impersonal-ness. It's just words over a computer, detached from all the subtleties and emotions of human interaction.

On the topic of speaking about politics, race, society, etc. I generally enjoy chopping it up with old black men. Especially old black men who went through some serious life shyt, like Nam vets and ex-cons. Even when they talk nonsense, there's usually some profundity to it.

I have said some things here leading some people to accuse me of being a c00n or uncle tom. The reason why I would be hesitant of saying all this in public is because of how sensitive people are to racial issues. And the fact that liberals have created this atmosphere of political correctness, which makes it impossible for people to discuss race based issues in an honest answer. It's as simple as that.

If a nonblack person expresses any grievances he has with the black community, he is labeled as a racist. It literally does not matter how much truth there is in the statement. As soon as he opens his mouth on the issue he is ostracized.

If a black person does it he is labeled a sell out or an "uncle tom."
And the tone of your voice in this thread also proves another point. It's like you want these people to open their mouth so you can violently threaten them into not speaking anymore. I don't know if that's what you actually want to do, but it certainly is how you're coming across right now.You either want to violently threaten them or you want to ostracize them from society.
