I mean, are you happy with the return he got back for Fields? That report coming out is more about deflecting how bad of a trade it was because he was getting cooked for it.

Poles is a nice guy, that's what I got out of it
what makes it even worse is that the steelers got multiple picks when they traded kenny pickens. fields should have commanded a comparable amount of draft capital.

but the bears essentially gave him away for free.

could have won even less this year too :manny:

9 wins is probs a playoff berth IDK how that would not be a success from the worst team two years prior. Its not like our division is easy.
Which games could've been losses that ended up being wins besides the Minnesota game. Even with that game, you can argue that should've been an easy victory if not for Fields turning the ball over at the wrong times. That was probably the one game this season that I can say if they lost, it was solely on him.

I'm not about to go through every single game of last year to prove my point. Its the NFL you can lose just as easily as you win some games unless your talent disparity is that high and even then you can lay stinkers.

we can agree to disagree, its fine :manny:

The Bears only had two close wins. Against Minnesota (which I already explained above) and the Panthers, and with them, you never actually expected them to lose to the worst team in the league (even with Bagent starting).

I'll say this, if the Bears pass on a QB in the 1st round and we end up with JJ MCCarthy in the 3rd or 4th, I wouldn't be upset. He's a game manager that makes some great anticipatory throws. THE BALL IS OUT ON TIME!!! This is something most College QBs are NOT doing. This translates to the NFL, great mechanics, great base, can throw through the Linebacker buzzing. He played in a pro style offense and his placement is nice. I love his deep digs and deep in throws. His upside isn't great but I think he can be an NFL starter with development time. His arm doesn't wow you and he doesn't make big throws down the field on the outside enough.

:wtb:

man, if u don't :camby:

the bears aren't giving away their starting QB to draft some dude in the 3rd round when they already have 2 first round picks in this years draft, including the #1 :dahell:

Chi-Town to Tampa
What's the schedule looking like tho? If the schedule is comparable to this year's you never know
Opponents' Win-Loss from 2023: 135-154 (.467)
Opponents’ Win-Loss from 2022: 143-145-1 (.497)

We are projected to have an easier schedule. New Orleans is the only team with a lighter schedule than the Bears this year.

Poles/eberflus ruined fields when they hired getsy I can't wait for when the raiders struggle on offense I'm running fukking victory laps on everyone who said getsy wasn't the issue from here,on X and I'm calling espn 1000 I wanted to move on from fields since October but getsy and the bears failed to develop him and fukked up his career

Your rationale was some “any given Sunday a team could lose” logic. The three games the Bears lost this season that they should’ve won, you can make an argument it was because of poor coaching at the end of the game. The two games they won that they could’ve lost, one should’ve never been in that position in the first place because of how well the defense played, and the other was just an ugly close game when neither team wanted to score points. Last I checked, 3>2.

Top 6? wow, I like him but not that much. He's definitely a pro and I see him as starter material with time. Didn't know he shot up that high.
