Great defensive mind, that's why Waldron needs to prove his worth
it shouldnt be on Waldron is my point

the entire coaching staff should have been designed to develop Caleb - hes like the most important piece this franchise has ever brought in

You know, given how much of a strategist Caleb's dad is I'm sure he's done his fair share of homework on Eberflus.

I think if the dad had a lot of doubts they would've Eli Manning'd the Bears by now.

This is what is going happen Caleb will show promise the defense will blow 2 historically bad leads and eberflus gets fired and Ben Johnson is the coach
which would fukking suck if Caleb is being introduced to a new coach by his second season - it would be the same ol Bears bullshyt

Poles is doing a great job with the roster but he is playing with fukking fire keeping Flus around to develop Caleb Williams

thats true, I mean, they are prob just fukking stoked about the roster and can overlook the HC

this roster is wild for a #1 pick QB to walk into

Yup. I'm sure that whole process they had interviewing other coaches around the league and college, talking with his teammates, etc. was basically to confirm that dude is that special and that he can make use of what they can set up for him.

It sounds like everyone on both sides have done their fair share of homework on the other.

Our defense played well during the 2nd half of the season.
OK, but ensuring the development of our supposed "generational" QB should be more important than the defense flashing for 6 weeks

I mean, lets see what Flus got I guess ... this team is set to win now. And hes getting an absolute blue chip of a QB to lead it

@Brozay I know you said you were watching Justin Herbert throw to Keenan Allen recently.

(it was really 65 air yards)

That look similar?

Like I said, I watched a lot of Chargers and USC games this year. USC ran a lot of Herbert style plays for Caleb and dude flexed it.

Straight up the guy can make throws that only 3 other QB's around the league can right now: Mahomes, Josh Allen and Herbert. Not only the daggers either but all the touch passes. I even think he throws the latter better than Herbert does. Dude can drop some serious dimes. Insane arm talent.

There's a new OC and we made moves at WR, Center, RB, and Offsenve Tackle in free agency. It's going to be a completely different team onthe offensive side of the ball next year.

I am certainly hopeful but it seems like an odd choice to have Eberflus be the steward for Caleb Williams future

I dont think it was a tenable situation to keep him on the roster and touting Caleb as your franchise QB - this is so messy and makes our front office look like a$$holes

they had to pave the way for Caleb - if anything, one thing Justin did very well was become a leader in the clubhouse - that wouldnt have worked

the only way it works is if you dont have him near the team and that sounds like a bad situation too
I'm referring to last season. There were multiple teams who had QBs go down that would have offered more for Fields.

If the Bears had a clearer direction earlier, they should have traded Justin when he was on fire after those string of games before he got hurt is my point.
