Still hurts to see fields go. Really liked the kid

But it needed doing. They made the right move. Fields is good. But we need great. It's the difference between competing for just the division vs hoping to get out the nfc and get to a superbowl. Our division is rough. The conference is even rougher. It was just the circumstances if Caleb maye and jayden Daniels is not there this doesn't happen of course.

Poles would have gotten more if he traded him during the season
there is a trade deadline lol

the reason Justin is on the move out of here is because the Panthers sucked into the #1 pick - if we are drafting at #3 this is probably not even happening

EDIT: oh youre saying this season? yeah, they werent keepng Justin on the roster after drafting their franchise QB, that just isnt realistic - also terrible optics for Poles keeping Justin around hoping for some increase in value?

Yea, with all the teams that had QB injuries, the Bears would have gotten a lot more than a 6th Rounder or whatever they got now

I dont think it was a tenable situation to keep him on the roster and touting Caleb as your franchise QB - this is so messy and makes our front office look like a$$holes

they had to pave the way for Caleb - if anything, one thing Justin did very well was become a leader in the clubhouse - that wouldnt have worked

the only way it works is if you dont have him near the team and that sounds like a bad situation too

the real big question I have is ...

if you knew you were taking Caleb ... why the fukk did you keep Eberflus to develop potential franchise altering QB :why:
Great defensive mind, that's why Waldron needs to prove his worth
