i know that this is an old ass post but this isn't true. Ghostwriters have been listed in the credits since the beginning. That's not to say that some aren't listed but the practice of listing them in the credits has always been in play.at ghostwriters. If it's credited, it's not ghostwriting.

In the hip hop sense, people consider it ghostwriting cuz you're expected as a rapper to write your shyt. In music in general, if it's on paper, you aren't a "ghost" writer.
This has been discussed already in this thread.
Since this is a hip hop forum then why would any other "sense" or context be discussed? We need a "no shyt Sherlock?" smiley.
it's not like anybody tries to think Kanye is some lyrical genius anyway 
Another thing to consider is simply adding input on a song gets you writing credit from Kanye. I also never argued the point too much in here given the genre.
If the paperwork is right financially CyHi is in a better position behind the scenes than in emkanye got cyhi 2 sit on the bench n ghost write fo his album

The consensus is for a rapper even if it's credited, the perception is that the rapper wrote it cuz that's what rappers are known for. Their lyrics. Hence why people perceive it as such.
