I will never understand these threads…like are we supposed to be like “yeah that nikka bron trash and been trash” .

It’s more like a thread in amazement of how the would be GOAT could have a basic offensive game

It’s kinda like pulling up Jordan’s 3 point FG percentage

We like to overlook players weaknesses :manny:

Except there's a ton of evidence showing that it's not. :skip:

Late in his time in Cleveland and especially when he got to Miami, LeBron got obsessed with making the most efficient moves possible, both in terms of efficiency of movement and likelihood of success. He's proven that he can hit the fadeaways, the floaters, that he has a full array of post moves and can break shyt down off the dribble. But rather than "showing off his bag" by forcing a certain move just to show he can do it, he tends to read the defense and pick the exact right time for the highest-percentage play. Casuals who get excited when The Professor puts together a dribble combo don't understand what LeBron is doing when he disguises his play, sets up an apparent pass, gets a help defender slightly off-balance and then suddenly bursts straight away to take the open lane to the basket. They don't care that picking and choosing his plays like that has a much higher chance of success than doing something fancy, they only care how it looks. They think he somehow "got lucky" or was "too fast" or playing "bully ball" to get to the hoop so easy, and don't realize how much he had to understand and manipulate the game in order to make it look easy.

2003-2009, at his athletic peak, LeBron averaged 70-72% at the rim, 35-40% from 16-23, and 32-35% from 3pt. From 2010-2014, he pulled that up to 75-80% at the rim, 40-45% from 16-23, and 33-40% from 3pt. By simplifying his moves to make the most efficient play every time, he put his team in a better position to win, even if it didn't look as fancy.

I thought this IG post was interesting :youngsabo:

I’ve been saying it for years and this new generation is finally catching on :whoo:

By far the worse of all his peers at creating space, but he deserves credit for constantly making junpers that's highly contested, because bro can't shake a pet, let alone an NBA defender (exaggeration admitted fukk nikka).

How did Kobe look in year 20 with all those moves? :sas2:
He scored 60 in the final game where he was allowed to take 50 shots
In terms of legends of the game I put Bron and Karl Malone in the same basket.

Unquestionably great...but both play an ugly, stiff style that never has been pleasing to the eye.

Those clips of Bron look like Kevin Willis trying to handle the rock and work on his moves...:francis:
LeBron has great finesse as a finisher at the basket, but yea, that's the only pretty part of his game. And a few passes hes made.

Every single one of his career peers are better at creating space off the dribble. Bron is very average at that.

However his lack of space creation means that he is constantly shooting well contested shots, and he makes a lot of them, so credit for that.

Wade was great at creating space, but his jump shot was slow and he never mastered his release. It looked different every shot. Bron made shots from mid and 3 more consistently than Wade their whole careers. D Wade was the better slasher bar none doe.

Compared so somebody like Melo who has a great isolation skill set, Bron is below average at shot creation.

Cap :mjlol: Lebron's FG% outside of 3ft is 37% and his mid range is 37% :scust::

He gets by completely on being too strong for the defenders fast enough to keep up with him and too fast for those strong enough to withhold his blind bull rushes to the paint. Good passer, basic handle, poor jump/FT shooter, no go to moves, unwilling to post up etc.. His athleticism is what puts him over not his skill..
