Drake is a Canadian Actor cosplaying a rapper, nothing profound about his music. He's got songs I like, earlier stuff is better though.

Like bro...this nikka is a suburbanite black cacnadian living out his rapper fantasies. He grabbed a team of ghost writers, treats his craft more like an act, and brings very little real substance for years and years now. Mos Def is spot on

Drake becoming the biggest rapper given his background and Kanye becoming a multi billionaire made some dudes uncomfortable.

I noticed that any sort of critique throws the masses of young beta males in a frenzy.
These "men" listen to multi millionaires whine over teenage girls and haters and think it's deep.
It's no wonder they are completely unequipped to deal with the harsh realities of the real world.

Lol many older rappers have very dysfunctional personal lives. Not sure what listening to them yields either.

Mos Def said Drake make pop music and Drake fans responded with "Does anyone still listen to Mos Def?" :dahell:

What does being more popular at this time have to do with anything? Drake is more popular and relevant than alot of old school rappers, that does not mean their opinion on things holds no weight.

anyways :banderas:

But we knew this already, however let's not overlook the fact that Mos Def tried to go pop in the mid 2000's but got clowned by everyone including his friends. Namely Talib Kweli on "Hip Hop Worth Dying for":

'Mos Def's alright, but what's up with his leather suit/ I see him on stage singing and doing rock covers.fukking Cocksucker'

Furthermore mos def's idea of what hip hop is sucks and is outdated, it's mainly for boomers who complain about how great shyt was in their day

Doing other forms of music wasn't about trying to go pop...
